Today I had the opportunity to make some new earrings. But I wanted to do something different, the hooks are beautiful, but I was wondering how would crocheted earrings with polka dots look like. I had some trepidation because I didn't know how to incorporate the polka dots into the design, especially since the ones I had available were perhaps a bit too big for the type of project I wanted to do. I searched the networks for some design that I could use as a reference, each design more beautiful than the previous one, but I didn't find something like what I had in mind. I started by making some petals in red, I didn't want to make a flower because it is quite common, so why not take inspiration from flowers and make a half. In this case I had to work in pairs and symmetrically, which is one of my traumas. I made four equal petals, on a base of 11 chain stitches. Then we knit the sequence: leaving a stitch without knitting we start; a slip stitch, 1 low stitch. 1 medium high stitch, 1 high stitch, 2 double high stitches, 1 high stitch, 1 medium high stitch, 1 low stitch and in the last stitch available, 3 low stitches. Passing the yarn forward, we weave six chain stitches over the petal. We make a couple of smaller petals with 9 chain stitches and we knit in the same way, with the difference that in this case we omit the double double double crochet stitches and replace them with two double crochet stitches in a row. We join all the petals, three for each earring, with stitches. After we have everything well finished, with no excess threads, we place a hot silicone stitch and through the pearl top we leave everything assembled in one piece. | Realizamos un par de pétalos más pequeños con 9 puntos de cadena y se teje de la misma manera, con la diferencia de que en este caso omitimos los puntos altos dobles y los reemplazamos por dos puntos altos seguidos. This pair of earrings looks quite striking. It can be worn with casual clothes, as I don't think it would look good with something more elegant. They have a relaxed style so it gives the feeling that when wearing them they were thought and created with the intention of giving the wearer, a carefree air. I hope you like them.
