Greetings to all. Today I bring you some earrings, which may seem a little peculiar, but that peculiarity is what makes them special. To make them, I used a thread that I almost never use because I find it a bit rustic. However, when I combined them with some crystals, the magic happened and I was very happy with them. | Saludos a todos. Hoy les traigo unos aretes, que quizás les parezcan algo peculiares, pero esa peculiaridad es la que los hace especiales. Para hacerlos, utilicé un hilo que casi nunca uso porque me parece un poco rústico. Sin embargo, cuando los combiné con algunos cristales se hizo la magia y quedé muy feliz con ellos. |
I practiced with a few different yarns, with wool, with crochet, with macramé and none of them gave me the finish I was looking for. So when I tried this raw cotton thread, it turned out to be the one. | Practiqué con algunos hilos diferentes, con lana, con crochet, con macramé y ninguno me dió el acabado que estaba buscando. Así que cuando probé este hilo de algodón crudo, resultó ser el elegido. |
To make these earrings we start with a chain of 4 stitches and using the first stitch, we make a puff stitch with four loops. We close with slip stitch and then make 5 chain stitches, a slip stitch at the base of the puff stitch and then 5 chain stitches and a slip stitch. | Para realizar estos aretes comenzamos con una cadena de 4 puntos y haciendo uso del primer punto, realizamos un punto puff de cuatro lazadas. Cerramos con punto deslizado y luego hacemos 5 puntos de cadeneta, un punto deslizado en la base del punto puff y luego 5 puntos de cadena y un punto deslizado. |
Now we knit a chain stitch and 8 slip stitches over the base chain and 8 slip stitches on the other side. Close with a slip stitch. | Ahora hacemos un punto de cadena y 8 puntos bajos sobre la cadena de base y 8 puntos bajos del otro lado. Cerramos con un punto deslizado. |
Pick up the chain and repeat the whole cycle again. First the puff stitch. Then the circle of 5 chains on each side of the puff stitch and then the 8 single crochets on each side to close with a slip stitch. We must keep in mind that when we make the single crochet, we pass directly to the other side of the circle without making any anchor stitch. Now we have the crochet base ready to place the glitter and make magic with these earrings. | Levantamos cuadro cadenas y nuevamente repetimos todo el ciclo. Primero el punto puff. Luego el círculo de 5 cadenas de cada lado del punto puff y luego los 8 puntos bajos de cada lado para cerrar con un punto deslizado. Debemos tener presente que cuando realizamos los puntos bajos, pasamos directamente al otro lado del círculo sin hacer ningún punto de anclaje. Ya tenemos lista la base de crochet para colocar los brillos y hacer magia con estos aretes. |
On a red thread, we inserted 32 murano crystals in two colors in between. I used white and blue and if you wonder why I chose the red thread, because with the white base I could afford to apply the colors I wanted and the red reminded me of the navy colors. We applied the crystals to the two crochet rings with slipped stitches and a single crochet stitch on each crystal. We left one stitch unknitted and finally we will have 8 crystals in each hoop. We place the hook type hook and a ring to attach the latter to the body of the earring. | En un hilo rojo, ingresamos 32 cristales de murano en dos colores intercalados. Utilicé blanco y azul y si se preguntan porqué elegí el hilo rojo, pues con la base blanca me podía dar el lujo de aplicar los colores que quisiera y el rojo me recordó los colores navi. Aplicamos los cristales a los dos aros de crochet con puntos deslizados y un punto bajo en cada cristal. Dejamos un punto sin tejer y finalmente tendremos 8 cristales en cada aro. Colocamos el gancho tipo anzuelo y una argolla para unir este último al cuerpo del arete. |
This pair of earrings is ready. Eye-catching, different and with a pop of color that make these pieces a rare beauty. We don't always feel confident wearing different accessories than we usually do, but we might be surprised at how much it can flatter us when we step out of our comfort zone, as long as they are within our comfort limits.
