Today I will share with you the tutorial to make these beautiful grannys square style earrings. For those who do not know yet, grannys square is a type of square mats that curiously are called granny squares, is what literally translates. Para los que aún no conocen, grannys square es un tipo de tapetes cuadrados que curiosamente se llaman cuadrados de la abuelita, es lo que literalmente traduce. Esta forma de tapetes es muy versátil y también se pueden hacer para llevarlos en unos aretes, incorporando algunos cristales y piedras, tendremos un accesorio que seguro atraerá miradas. |
First we make a flower with eight 4mm crystals in this case and once we have them inserted in the wire, we pass the wire through all the crystals until it comes out at the other end. We weave the circle of crystals a little loose because we are going to weave between the crystals. We pass a 6mm bead through the wire and secure it at the opposite end of the circle, so we get a flower.. | Primero realizamos una flor con ocho cristales de 4mm en este caso y una vez que las tenemos insertadas en el alambre, pasamos dicho alambre por todos cristales hasta salir en el otro extremo. We start weaving. We tie one end of the thread to the wire and start with six chains that we fix between the crystals until we complete the round. | Empezamos a tejer. Amarramos un extremo del hilo al alambre y comenzamos con seis cadenas que vamos fijando entre los cristales hasta completar la vuelta. |
We always cut the thread each time we start a row. We tie the thread again but on one of the rings that we have formed with the chain stitches, it doesn't matter where we start. Then we make 3 chains, two double crochet stitches, and then we pass 4 crystals of 4mm in the thread to be able to insert them into the fabric. We pass one crystal and knit 5 chain stitches. Now we pass the needle behind the crystal and into the next ring and continue knitting 6 double crochet stitches. And so on until we reach the other end. | Siempre cortamos el hilo cada vez que empezamos una vuelta. Volmenos a amarra el hilo pero sobre una de las argollas que se han formado con las cadenetas, es indistinto dónde empezamos. In the next row, we cut the yarn again and we knit the row with single crochet, except in the ring that is over the crystals, there we knit 3 single crochet and two chain stitches. Un tip que les doy, es que la otra punta del hilo lo vamos ocultando entre los puntos bajos, procurando que de la vuelta a todo el grannys, así obtenemos una estructura más solida. |
