Welcome to my post once again, I'm Nitsu and today I bring again other pieces of jewelry that I was doing in the magnificent course to which I signed up, lately I was very attentive to see pieces of jewelry both in places of sale and in pieces that people use, but I was also looking at Pinterest an excellent application that allowed me to learn new techniques of jewelry and on occasion I was empecine in making twisted rings.
Bienvenidos a mi post una vez más, soy Nitsu y hoy traigo nuevamente otras piezas de joyería que estuve haciendo en el curso magnifico al cual me anote, últimamente estuve muy atento a ver piezas de joyería tanto en lugares de venta como en piezas que usa la gente, pero también estuve buscando en Pinterest una excelente aplicación que me permitió conocer nuevas técnicas de joyería y en ocasión se empecine en hacer anillos entorchados.
The braiding is a jewelry technique where a very thin wire is used to generate a pattern as a kind of braid, it sounds simple in theory, but it has more technique than one can believe. When I saw rings with this style I wanted to cheer up and I bought bronze wire to start with the tests, the truth was that I had a lot of wire since they sold it from 200 grams so I hope to find a use for it later.
El entorchado es una técnica de joyería donde se utiliza un fleje bien fino un alambre para generar un patrón al ir como armando una especie de trenza, suena sencillo en la teoría, pero tiene más técnica de lo que uno puede creer. Al ver anillos con este estilo quise animarme y compre alambre de bronce para ir comenzado con las pruebas, la verdad tenía muchísimo alambre ya que lo vendían a partir d ellos 200 gramos así que espero poder encontrarle un uso posteriormente.

Before this I had tried to do the crimping without annealing the wire and I tell you that it is impossible, it is very hard and the wire ends up splitting and shooting out because of all the tension that the material has.
Para ahorrar y optimizar tiempos en mi clase me encargue de recocer el alambre para poder trabajarlo en mi casa ya con más tiempo, espacio y paciencia. Fui a mi zona de trabajo con las impresoras, ubique mi morza y coloque ambas puntas del alambre de bronce para que estas no se movieran. Antes de esto había intentado hacer el entorchado sin recocer el alambre y les digo que es imposible, es muy duro sumado a que el alambre termina por partirse y salir disparado por toda la tensión que tiene el material.

I learned from my mistake and this time that did not happen, I began to turn the wire to the right to generate the pattern, it took a while, but I got a beautiful and neat result, although I could notice the enormous tension that had the material. At this point I wanted to continue with the twisting because I wanted to do it now, but to the left side, but I tell you that it was impossible because of the hardness that it had, so I had to be patient, wait for my next class and anneal the material again to reduce the tensions.
Aprendí de mi error y en esta oportunidad eso no sucedió, comencé a girar hacia la derecha el alambre para que se vaya generando el patrón, tarde un rato, pero obtuve un resultado hermoso y bien prolijo, aunque podía notar la enorme tensión que tenia el material. En este punto por ansioso quise continuar con el torzado ya que ahora debía hacerlo, pero hacia el lado izquierdo, pero desde ya les digo que fue imposible por la dureza que esta tenia, así que no quedo otra que ser paciente, esperar mi siguiente clase y volver a recocer el material para disminuir la tensiones.

Antes de la siguiente clase aproveché para preparar algunos torchados más y tener buen material para trabajar en casa, una vez pude hacerlo continue con la tarea, doble a la mitad las piezas que tenía, las agarre con la morza y comencé a girar hacia el lado contrario. Al principio debo decir que no le estaba encontrando un patrón lindo, no se parecía ni de cerca a lo que había visto en youtube pero decidí confiar en el proceso y seguir girando la pieza hasta que en un momento todo se fue alineando y quedando realmente bello.
Again I had to anneal the material to release the internal tensions, now I could take measurements to design a ring, but not before flattening it with blows so that the pattern that had been generated was even more noticeable. After several blows and annealing I set the ring size I wanted, I made the slopes and cut the wire with the hand jigsaw to later use the mandrel and go closing the ring, now I only had to weld the junction point, sand the entire surface and pass it through the polishing machine to have that beautiful ring.
Nuevamente tocaba recocer el material para liberar las tensiones internas, ahora ya podía ver de tomar medidas para diseñar algún anillo, pero no sin antes irlo aplanando a golpes para que el patrón que se había generado se notase aun más. Tras varios golpes y recocidos me fije el talle de anillo que yo quería, hice las cuestas y corte el alambra con la caladora de mano para posteriormente utilizar el mandril e ir cerrando el anillo, ahora solo quedaba soldar el punto de unión, lijar toda la superficie y pasarlo por la pulidora para tener ese hermoso anillo.
Sadly the material is very soft, so this piece deforms easily, but my idea was to practice with this bronze wire to later work with silver wire and have a much better result. This practice has been very useful for me to understand the technique and now I just have to continue working, but with the new material, how do you think it will look in silver?
