Raki For My Brother

in Jewelryyesterday (edited)

Raki, an important part of Indian culture, is celebrated every year on the day of "Raki Poornima". This day is an opportunity for sisters to express love, protection and affection for their brothers. Although I am a Pakistani Muslim, I love the beauty of Rakhi and its traditions.

Today I made my first Rakhi. This is not the norm in my house, but I thought of it as an expression of my creativity. Making rakhi is a special experience for me, which is not only an art but also a reflection of love and relationships.

While making rakhi, I realized that it is not just a thread, but a tool to strengthen the brother-sister bond. It is a sign of love, respect and sincerity. I wanted to be a part of this cultural ritual, even if my own traditions were different.

So let's start the process of making it...

Procedure

First I have inserted golden pearls inside the wire

Then I gave it a round shape and tied a knot to make it stronger

Then i place the purple bead over it

After that i place two blue beads and golden beads to give it a nice look.

This is how i complete the whole look of this step i use to make on layer with blue beads and one with golden beads to make a unique design

To create another layer over it i place 3 golden beads over it step by step and generate a new design which come out something like this

This is the final look how i complete this design and create hand made rakhi for my brother 🤭 my mom said you are artist let us sale your handmade rakhi to hindus and generate money 😂

Then i place purple thread from both side i just pass the thread from golden bead

Then to further gain the design i add new things in which i place golden bead from both sides then after it i place pink beads and to coat jt again i insert the golden beads in the thread from the both sides

This is the final looks i love the way rakhi always being use to express love between sister and brother.

I always had love rakhi i never thought that i could make something like this 🥹

I let my brother wear it and it suits him alot ❤️ i would love to make sweet things for my brother...
