A big greeting to all the creative women and men who visit this profile. I want to show you a bracelet I made inspired by the Turkish eyes. This is an element that many people use as protection from bad energies.
I set out to make a bracelet made entirely by hand in beads, creating Turkish eyes throughout the piece. When we weave with beads the weave is a little irregular because the stones are not all the same size, that makes it really handmade and beautiful. Later I will show you how to do it on a loom and with miyuki, which is more even.

Me propuse a hacer un brazalete elaborado completamente a mano en mostacillas, creando ojos turcos a lo largo de la pieza realizada. Cuando tejemos con mostacillas el tejido queda un poco irregular porque las piedritas no son todas del mismo tamaño, eso hace que quede realmente artesanal y lindo. Luego les muestro como hacerlo en un telar y con miyuki, que queda más parejo.
Materials I used:

We start with a simple peyote stitch, and so we are going to knit in simple stitch two by two always. This knot is made going up through the last beads and then going down through the most recently placed beads.
I start by making two blue blocks, and then continue shaping the bracelet.
This is a job that can take a whole day, as it is two at a time. Whenever I do this work I always relax a lot, it is something I enjoy as a meditation.

These eyes are becoming square, playing with the geometry and the figures that the beads give us.
We are going to recreate five big eyes and some more abstract and small eyes to give visual rest to the structure.
Ir construyendo esta pieza y ver como va ganando vida con los colores y la forma.
Estos ojos van quedando cuadrados, un poco jugando con la geometría y las figuras que nos van dando las mostacillas.
Vamos a recrear cinco ojos grandes y unos ojos más abstractos y pequeños para darle descanso visual a la estructura.
When I have finished the whole structure of the bracelet, I proceed to the ends and make the hoops where the clasp will go. I will form the ring with gray beads number eight.
Right in the middle I place the thread with the six beads and leave one bead in the middle and go down the next one.
Repeat on both sides and secure with a knot and cut the thread flush with the bracelet.
Cuando tengo finalizada toda la estructura del brazalete, procedo a irme a los extremos y realizar los aritos donde irá el trancadero. Formare el arito con mostacillas grises numero ocho.
Justo en el medio coloco el hilo con las seis mostacillas y dejo una mostacilla por medio y bajo por la siguiente.
Repito en ambos lados y lo aseguramos con un nudito y cortamos el hilo al ras de la pulsera.

En esos aritos vamos a colocar un arito con el trancadero, y del otro lado un arito con la cadena y otro arito en la punta para mejor acabado.
Esto nos permite mejor ajuste de la pieza dependiendo de la persona.
Trata de ajustar bien los aritos para que no abran y extravies tu nuevo accesorio.
