Here we are in Kanazawa, often nicknamed the "Little Kyoto" for its traditional charm and rich cultural heritage. As soon as we step out of Kanazawa Station, a true modern architectural marvel with its majestic wooden torii and a fountain that displays the time in droplets of water, we are immersed in an atmosphere that is both contemporary and deeply rooted in Japan's history.
But this is just a taste of what the city has to offer. Kanazawa is home to one of the country’s greatest treasures: Kenroku-en Garden, considered one of the three most beautiful landscaped gardens in Japan. We’ll have the chance to explore it later, as many more wonders await us.
Our son, who knows our tastes well, has planned an itinerary full of surprises. The adventure is just beginning...

Nous voici arrivés à Kanazawa, souvent surnommée la "Petite Kyoto" pour son charme traditionnel et son riche patrimoine culturel. Dès la sortie de la gare de Kanazawa, véritable œuvre architecturale moderne avec son majestueux torii en bois et sa fontaine qui affiche l'heure en gouttelettes d'eau, nous sommes plongés dans une atmosphère à la fois contemporaine et ancrée dans l'histoire du Japon.
Mais ce n'est qu'un avant-goût de ce que la ville a à offrir. Kanazawa abrite en effet l'un des plus beaux trésors du pays : le jardin Kenroku-en, considéré comme l'un des trois plus grands jardins paysagers du Japon. Nous aurons l'occasion d'y revenir, car de nombreuses merveilles nous attendent encore.
Notre fils, qui connaît bien nos goûts, a préparé pour nous un itinéraire plein de surprises. L'aventure ne fait que commencer...
