Here we are at the conclusion of our visit, standing before the wing housing the Historical Defense Service. Here, a spectacular luminous fresco unfolds the major milestones of the Château de Vincennes’ history, offering a genuine journey through time.
It all begins in the Middle Ages, a period when this imposing fortress was built to protect Paris. The projections then depict the construction of the keep, a monumental structure that remains one of the tallest in Europe, a true symbol of the power of the French kings.
The light displays also illustrate the transformation of the château into a royal residence in the 14th century, under the reign of Charles V, who turned it into a magnificent palace. The story continues with a darker chapter, when the château became a state prison, holding notable figures such as the Marquis de Sade and Mirabeau.
Each chapter is brought to life through immersive visual and sound effects, transporting us through the various eras this unique site has witnessed.
These twenty minutes of intense and captivating spectacle seem, alas, to pass far too quickly.
Nous voici à la conclusion de notre visite, devant l'aile abritant le service historique de la Défense. Ici, une fresque lumineuse spectaculaire déroule les grandes étapes de l’histoire du Château de Vincennes, offrant un véritable voyage à travers le temps.
Tout commence au Moyen Âge, époque où cette imposante forteresse fut érigée pour défendre Paris. Les projections retracent ensuite la construction du donjon, un édifice monumental qui demeure l’un des plus hauts d’Europe, véritable symbole de la puissance des rois de France.
Les jeux de lumière évoquent également la métamorphose du château en résidence royale au XIVème siècle, sous l’impulsion de Charles V, qui en fit un palais somptueux. L’histoire continue avec une période plus sombre, où le château devint une prison d’État, accueillant des figures célèbres telles que le marquis de Sade ou Mirabeau.
Chaque chapitre est magnifié par des effets visuels et sonores immersifs, nous transportant dans les différentes époques traversées par ce lieu unique.
Ces vingt minutes de spectacle, intenses et captivantes, nous semblent, malheureusement, s’écouler bien trop rapidement.
