Hello hive
Exploring one of the 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse and Recycle) of waste management which is the reuse of old glass bottle.
One of the challenges I'm faced with as a lady is having to go to the market twice or thrice a week to get some ingredients for stew or soup because of lack of proper storage
Refrigeration would have been an option but with the current power supply of the country, its a NO!
So, I decided to try this method of keeping my boiled pepper in an old glass bottle container of mayonnaise which naturally I would have dispose of it and it works.
How did I achieve this?
After washing and blending of my tomatoes, pepper and onions together, I poured it in a clean pot and allowed it to boil till there's little or no water at all in it, while still hot, why still hot, I transferred some portion of it into my already washed and dried glass bottle and sealed it up with its cover without allowing it to cool down.
Yeah, its that simple! The pepper can stay in the container for three months or more without getting spoilt or losing it's taste if not opened
It can be kept in a cupboard or anywhere away from sunlight
This way, I do not have to go to the market twice in a week again.

Like seriously, it can stay 3 months without getting spoilt. And not being refrigerated or rewarmed?
Yes, tested and trusted! Though I heard it's shelf life is 6months but I haven't try up to 6months. Once open, it can't stay more than 2days except you boil again after taking the portion needed and seal it back while still hot
This is great. Have tried it out also
Yeah, it is
