Esta semana inició la temporada escolar y desde hace dos semanas estoy con la casa patas arriba y con la ropa de trabajo llena de pintura. He recibido una cantidad impresionante de pedidos de carteles personalizados en varios tamaños. Como en mi pueblo no hacen impresiones tipo tabloide o mas grandes, está la opción de mandar a hacer un diseño especifico de manera manual.
Te cuento que recibí el pedido de un cartel de "Bienvenidos" para una clase de "educación especial"
y aunque recibí un modelo especifico, lo vi muy sencillo (eran muñecos de ojos grandes y humedos)por lo que decidí personalizar un poco el diseño
Elegí unos personajes de una serie llamada "El mundo de Pau", una serie animada muy especial que muestra como es la vida de un niño con síndrome de Down. Me parecieron muy amigables y lindos así que me puse manos a la obra.
Los materiales que utilicé: lápiz hb, borrador de miga gruesa, pinceles en varias medidas, cartulina de mediana porosidad, pintura a base de agua Blackcolor, lápices de colores y pegamento en barra.
This week the school season started and for two weeks I have had the house upside down and my work clothes full of paint. I have received an impressive number of orders for custom signs in various sizes. Since in my town they do not make tabloid-type or larger prints, there is the option of having a specific design made manually.
I tell you that I received the order for a "Welcome" sign for a "special education" class.
and although I received a specific model, I saw it as very simple (they were dolls with big, moist eyes) so I decided to customize the design a little.
I chose some characters from a series called "El mundo de Pau", a very special animated series that shows what the life of a child with Down syndrome is like. I found them very friendly and cute so I got to work.
The materials I used: hb pencil, thick crumb eraser, brushes in various sizes, medium porosity cardboard, Blackcolor water-based paint, colored pencils and glue stick.
El boceto por ser personalizado me tomó un poco mas de tiempo del esperado pero quedó realmente lindo, con un grupo de amigos muy confiables. Tuve cuidado de hacer un boceto con lineas muy claras para que no se notaran bajo la pintura. Para empezar puse la primera capa de de pintura en rostro y brazos.
Because the sketch was personalized, it took me a little longer than expected but it turned out really nice, with a group of very trustworthy friends. I was careful to make a sketch with very clear lines so that they would not be noticeable under the paint. To start, I put the first layer of paint on the face and arms.
Empecé a mezclar colores buscando obtener los tonos originales para el cabello de los personajes; en esto me tomé bastante tiempo añadiendo poco a poco color tras color.
Finalmente pude pintar incluso algunos detalles en el cabello de la niña, por lo que quedé muy contenta con el resultado.
I started mixing colors looking to obtain the original tones for the characters' hair; I took a lot of time on this adding little by little color after color.
Finally I was able to even paint some details in the girl's hair, so I was very happy with the result.
El siguiente paso consta en enriquecer la ilustración con algunos detalles, usando en esta ocasión lápices de colores, con esto logré dar la mayor cantidad de detalles en la piel.
Como paso final pinté de amarillo un cartel en frente del grupo de niños y con unas contrastantes letras de color azul.
The next step consists of enriching the illustration with some details, this time using colored pencils, with this I managed to give the greatest amount of detail on the skin.
As a final step, I painted a sign in yellow in front of the group of children and with contrasting blue letters.
Como el cartel amarillo se veía muy vació, pinté materiales escolares en otra cartulina, recorté y pegué sobre al cartel de bienvenidos.
Estoy muy satisfecha con este cartel personalizado y sé que tengo una cliente satisfecha, lo que me deja con una satisfacción extra y motivación para seguir emprendiendo.
Since the yellow sign looked very empty, I painted school supplies on another piece of cardboard, cut it out, and glued it to the welcome sign.
I am very satisfied with this personalized sign and I know that I have a satisfied client, which leaves me with extra satisfaction and motivation to continue undertaking.
