Quise inspirarme en la Reina del Tex-Mex Selena Quintanilla Pérez para hacerle el icónico traje Jumpsuit a mi Barbie que usó en el Astrodome de Houston-Texas el 26 de Febrero de 1995, es un tesoro de anécdotas y momentos inolvidables que continúan cautivando a sus fans y a las nuevas generaciones,este icónico traje y otros trajes hermosos de Selena aún se exhiben en su museo en Corpus Christi.

I wanted to be inspired by the Queen of Tex-Mex Selena Quintanilla Pérez to make the iconic Jumpsuit outfit for my Barbie that she wore at the Houston-Texas Astrodome on February 26, 1995. It is a treasure trove of anecdotes and unforgettable moments that continue to captivate her fans and new generations. This iconic outfit and other beautiful Selena outfits are still on display at her museum in Corpus Christi.

Pasos a seguir://Steps to follow:

Paso 01

El primer paso que haré fué cortar las piezas un pantalón por las rodillas y unos cuellos que van bajo el pantalón también corté las partes de arriba del jumsuit que son como unos tirantes que cubren la parte de los pechos,este traje viene acompañado de un torero como les mencioné al principio pero lastimosamente no me alcanzó el retazo de tela que tenía de este color así que lo hice sin el torero.

Step 01

The first step I did was cut the pieces: a pair of pants that reached the knees and some collars that go under the pants. I also cut the top parts of the jumpsuit, which are like straps that cover the breasts. This suit comes with a bullfighter, as I mentioned at the beginning, but unfortunately I didn't have enough fabric in this color, so I made it without the bullfighter.

Paso 02

Pasaremos a coser entonces el pantalón por las partes del tiro abriré ambas piezas y uniré las piezas y las coseré por cada lado , después coseré por el borde de la entrepierna del pantalón,luego cosemos el vuelo de abajo pero con el encendedor quemaré los bordes , cosemos volteamos las piezas y vamos a coserlo por el contorno de la pierna del pantalón .

Step 02

We will then sew the pants along the crotch. I will open both pieces and join the pieces and sew them on each side. Then I will sew along the edge of the crotch of the pants. Then we will sew the bottom hem, but with the lighter I will burn the edges. We will sew, turn the pieces over and sew them along the outline of the leg of the pants.

Paso 03

En la parte de arriba de mi pantalón voy a fruncir mi pieza del tiro y la voy a coser ambas piezas al pantalón luego le doy vuelta a la pieza y la coso por atrás las dos partes cruzando ambas piezas.

Step 03

At the top of my pants I'm going to gather my crotch piece and sew both pieces to the pants, then I'll turn the piece over and sew the two parts together from the back, crossing both pieces.

Paso 04

Aquí ya pasé a colocar el traje a mi Barbie y siento que le quedó perfecto , así que los patrones que hice para este icónico traje quedaron perfectos,siempre digo que si hacemos los patrones a la perfección la ropa que le hagamos a nuestras Barbies quedarán muy bien.

Step 04
