Receive many blessings dear crafting friends and the entire Hive ecosystem. On the occasion of celebrating Earth Day friends of Diyhub left us an important contest.
Generally, we have things at home to throw away; for example, technicians, craftsmen and artisans are used to keep everything they think can be useful, thus contributing to the conservation of the planet. Personally I keep cardboard, plastic bottles, can rings, cans, butter containers, plastic light bulbs, cable spools, paper, beads from bracelets and earrings and others that I don't remember.
Recycling is one of the best ways we have to reduce waste. When we give a new lease of life to any useful material we get less waste circulation and reduce the expense of crafting. For this contest, I bring you a dual function picture frame; it is a small picture frame that broke but I didn't want to throw it away because I thought it could be useful for something else.
Well, I think it's time to reuse it. In this case I left it fulfilling its function of keeping memories and I prepared it as a detail for Mother's Day. Look how I did it.
Portrait frame for mom
Materials used: discarded picture frame, liquid silicone, scissors and pieces of foami: frosted red, white, black; a piece of beige foami and another piece of metallic silver foami.
Procedure
1- First clean or wash the surface of the portrait frame and sand it a little to remove any roughness. Measure the shape of the object on the beige foami to get the base background and the square frame. Glue.
2- Remove the pieces of the lips and the lipstick on each piece of foami corresponding to the respective color. Glue them on the white base figure.
3- Cut out 1 x 7 cm strips of the metallic silver foami.
4- Glue the silver colored strips on the beige frame. Place the lips and the lipstick.
This picture frame works as a decorative object on a table or on the fridge thanks to the magnet on the back. I hope you liked this little work; it was a way to give useful life to that picture frame base.

Reciban muchas bendiciones apreciados amigos manualistas y de todo el ecosistema Hive. Con motivo de celebrarse el Día de la Tierra los amigos de Diyhub nos dejaron un importante concurso.
Generalmente, tenemos cosas en casa para desechar; por ejemplo los técnicos, aficionados manualistas y artesanos acostumbran a guardar todo lo que piensan que les puede ser útil, de esta manera se contribuye en la conservación del planeta. En lo personal conservo cartón, botellas de plástico, anillos de latas, latas, envases de mantequilla, bombillas de plástico, carretes de cable, papel, cuentas de pulseras y zarcillos y otras que no recuerdo.
Reciclar es una de las mejores formas que tenemos para reducir la basura. Cuando le damos una nueva oportunidad de vida a cualquier material de provecho obtenemos menos circulación de desechos y reducimos el gasto en la elaboración de manualidades. Para este concurso, les traigo un portarretrato doble función; se trata de un pequeño portarretrato que se rompió pero no lo quise botar porque pensé en que podía servirme para algo más.
Bien, creo que llegó el momento de reutilizar. En este caso lo dejé cumpliendo su función de guardar recuerdos y lo preparé como detalle para el día de las madres. Miren cómo lo hice.
Portarretrato para mamá
Los materiales utilizados: portarretrato desechado, silicón líquido, tijeras y pedacitos de foami: rojo escarchado, blanco, negro; un pedazo de foami beige y otro pedazo de foami plata metalizado.
Procedimiento
1- Previamente limpiar o lavar la superficie del portarretrato y lijar un poco para eliminar un poco las asperezas. Medir la figura del objeto sobre el foami beige para sacar el fondo de base y el marco cuadrado. Pegar.
2- Sacar las piezas de los labios y el labial en cada pedacito de foami correspondiente al color respectivo. Pegarlos sobre la figura base de color blanco.
3- Recortar tiras del foami plata metalizado de 1 x 7 cms.
4- Pegar las tiras color plata sobre el marco beige. Colocar los labios y el labial.
Este portarretrato funciona como objeto decorativo en una mesa o en la nevera gracias al imán que posee por la parte trasera. Espero que les haya gustado esta pequeña labor; fue una forma de darle vida útil a esa base de portarretrato.
