Step-by-Step Guide to Making a Clay Lizard

Preparing the Clay

Start by taking white clay and adding a little brown to create a natural lizard color. Knead it well until the color is evenly blended.

Shaping the Body

Roll the clay into a cylindrical shape. One side should be slightly thicker than the other. As you continue rolling, shape the thinner end into a curved tail to give it a lifelike appearance.

Making the Legs

Now, create four small legs from the clay. Flatten the ends slightly to form the feet. Using a knife or crafting tool, carefully carve out the lizard’s toes, giving them a realistic look.

Crafting the Head

At the thicker end of the body, use a knife to sculpt the face and mouth. Gently refine the shape until it resembles a real lizard’s head.
