My Spectacular Santa ❣️

in DIYHub5 days ago

After making my cute Santa, I wanted to make for myself a unique Santa as my entry into the DIY Christmas contest. And this one I won't sell to anyone; it would be just for me alone, hehe, since I have made a few numbers of my first Santa for clients. Unless the offer is really good, then I guess all my Santas have their prices lol 😂. Or, if I start to feel very generous I might make some and add them to my gifting items hehe.

For the past few years, I have had a friend who every Christmas would invite my family to her home for a Christmas celebration. I got a perfect outfit for that day this coming Christmas, and now I'm making perfect earrings to go with it. Please, work with me, and let me show you the step-by-step process of making my spectacular Santa.

Materials used:

In making my Santa, here are the materials I used.

✓ red, white, butter color and light pink seed beads.

✓ 0.25 fishline

✓ earrings hooks

✓ beading needle

✓ scissors and a plier.

Method used:
Like in some of my previous works, I used the brick stitch method, one thing I love about the brick stitch beading method is that you can create just anything with it all you need is to get the necessary bead sizes and colors, and the pattern of what you want to create and you are good to go.

Step-by-step process;

Step 1:

I started by threading a 120cm fishline on my needle, put two butter color beads on my needle, pulled it down the fishline, and then passed my fishline once again to make it strong, and then brought out my fishline on the second bead.

Step 2:

Here I added two butter color beads, two red, and six white, two red and two butter color beads and then I passed my fishline through the beads one more time to make it firm

Step 3:

I continue to build upward by adding two white, one red, seven white, one red, and two white beads to the line.

Step 4:

I added three red, six white, and three red beads respectively.

Step 5:

Here, I added four rows, decreasing the red beads and increasing the white, and on the fourth row, I added one white beads to both sides and two pink beads to the middle to start forming the mouth of the Santa.

Step 6:

Here, I added one row consisting of three white beads on both sides and three pink beads in the middle.

Step 7:

Here I added three new rows. In the first row is one white, two butter color, two pink, two butter color, and one white bead. On the second row are one white, one butter color, one black, one butter color, one black, one butter color, and one white bead. On the last row are three white, two butter colors, and three white beads.

Step 8:

Here, I started to make the shape of the cap by adding one row of my red beads.

Step 9:
Here, I added two rows of red beads and on the second row, I ignored the last thread line.

Step 10:

I added four more rows of red beads, increasing and decreasing the beads where necessary.

Step 11:

To finish up the end part of the cap, I added two rows of red beads, one row consisting of red and white beads, and three more rows of white beads using the increasing stitch beading method.

Step 12:
I carefully passed my fishline through the beads until it came out at the bottom of the bead, on the first red beads. I then added three red, three white, and three red beads to the line

Step 13:
Here are four rows added to the bead; on the first row are three black beads, two white beads, and three black beads. On the second row are seven red beads; on the third row are eight red beads, and I ignore one bead thread in the middle. On the fourth row are six white beads

Step 14:

Here is the last part, I added two rows of black beads to complete both sides of my Santa shoes.

This comes to the end of this tutorial; with the help of my pliers, I simply put the hooks. Because I love my spectacular Santa very much, I made three, two for earrings and a pendant. What do you think, guys? Kindly leave your thoughts in the comment section.
