How I made this lovely hair bow.

Good day everyone; it's been a minute. Today I will be sharing with you how I made a hair bow to match with my Ankara print dress.
Basically, this bow was inspired by my desire to create a Barbie look. As a matter of fact, I have been obsessed with creating a Barbie look using African prints that I would theme African Barbie. The process of making the bow is quite easy, and the results are even more impressive.

All that is required in making this lovely bow are:

1. Fabric (depending on the size you want). Although my bow wasn’t up to half a yard of material.
2. Thread
3. Needle
4. Lastly, a hairpin to use in pinning the bow to your hair.

First step, using your measuring tape, cut out a box-like shape, a rectangle shape, and a tinny strap for your bow.

Second level, you will fold the rectangle-shaped fabric into a smaller rectangle to fit the size you want your bow to look like. This is basically done to give your bow some form of thickness and make it firm. Note that you will do this while making sure the wrong sides are facing each other, which means the front of the fabric will be showing. You then sew a straight line in the middle to keep the rectangle together and iron out.

Thirdly, for the box-like fabric, you’ll fold it into a triangular form, right sides facing each other. You will then sew it, turn the inside out, and iron it out.

For the band, you will sew it into a strap and turn to the right side, then iron out.

Next up, you will slowly gather the fabric to form a bow individual, and then you will join them.

Lastly, you use the strap you’ve made on the bow and tack the back of the strap firmly.

There you go. All you need to do next is add your hairpin, and it’s good to go.
