Hi all
Just want to apologise that we have been so silent for the last month. I've been very unwell, still kept the sessions with the kids going, but getting round to writing has been a killer. So for now we are going to have a few posts coming more often than the 1 a week I originally said I would.

I have had Tendonitis in both arms, Flu and Tonsilitis that just wouldn't shift. Now I am on the mend so I will try to be back to the good old ways of regular posts. Along with all this joy, I scratched my cornea quite deeply and managed to lose over 80% of my vision for 5 days due to a 40.5 Degree fever.

What's been happening?

So onto the awesome stuff, I managed to find some really good wood from a local supplier and I am over the moon with what I got for the cost!

To the naked eye this sack doesn't look like much, but it's a bag of Hardwood offcuts, which weighs a couple of kilograms. The plan was to test out all sorts of mad ideas the kids come up with, so some of it has been used already.
Though we do plan on making one of our workshop signs using these along with other pieces, but it's still a work in process so bear with us 😅

On the left we have some Maple, In the middle is some lovely Sapele and on the right we have some Beech.
These will be used for a chopping board that we are going to make once the weather is a bit warmer. The glue needs to be able to set for a chopping board so we are waiting on that to come round.

Lastly we have the long reddish coloured piece in the middle of this one.
This is Red Grandis, a beautiful piece that I plan to have as the backing board for some of our signs. It's suited perfectly for outdoor use so this little beauty is going to come in handy.

For this whole lot of wood it cost us £20.00 which is a steal and a half. Considering the Offcuts and 2 lengths of Sapele costs £20.00, The other 6 lengths and the Red Grandis is amazing value.
I'm looking to get some more at a later date, but for now we will finish with what we have then buy more!
This was bought off of marketplace so unfortunately no receipt.

Other bits

Total spend today of £20.00.
Total spend since last post: £105.06
Hive sold to fund these: £110.54.

There is still bits on order, so at the moment I have bought a fair amount of items to make our lives easier in the workshop.
Once each arrives I'll be putting the post up with receipts when I can.
