Good afternoon, friends of DIY hub, I hope you are feeling great today, although I had not had time before, today I prepared a calendar and several ideas to track my plans, whether for cooking, embroidery, knitting, posts, etc.. I like to have everything in order and when ideas come up, I can put them in writing.

Buenas tardes, amigos de DIY hub, espero que se encuentren genial hoy, yo aunque no había tenido tiempo antes, hoy me preparé un calendario y varias ideas para hacer track de mis planes, así sea para cocinar, para hacer bordados, tejidos, posteos, etc. Me gusta tener todo bastante ordenado y cuando surgen las ideas, poder plasmarlas por escrito.
I know it's been over a month since the beginning of the year, but the other day, with the Chinese New Year, we were talking at home about what year it was, the year of the snake. My mother has always believed a little bit in this, although not too much, but she does remember her animal, and that of one of my brothers... not content with that, I started looking for everyone in the family, and it turned out that I am Snake in the Chinese calendar, so I thought it was a great idea to give this decoration to my calendar.

Ya sé que ha pasado más de un mes del comienzo del año, pero el otro día, con el año nuevo Chino, estábamos hablando en casa acerca del año que era, el año de la serpiente. Mi madre siempre ha creído un poco en esto, aunque no en demasía, pero sí recuerda su animal, y el de uno de mis hermanos… no contenta con eso, me puse a buscar a todos los integrantes de la familia, y resultó que yo soy Serpiente en el calendario Chino, así que me pareció una genial idea para darle esta decoración a mi calendario.
I started with sketches, of course. And when it was time to transfer it to the more resistant paper, I helped myself with a ruler and sketched lines, it wasn't very calculated, I just left a space for the year and another one for the snake. Once I had everything in pencil, I started to choose which ones would be for the months, and which ones would go with some decoration or phrase.

Comencé con bocetos, claro. Y a la hora de trasladarlo al papel más resistente, me ayudé por una regla y esbocé líneas, no estaba muy calculado, sólo dejé un espacio para el año y otro para la serpiente. Una vez que tuve todo en lápiz, me puse a elegir cuáles serían para los meses, y cuáles irían con alguna decoración o frase.
That's how I went ahead and started to go over all the lines with black marker. I was loving it, I also used one of my gray markers to make shadows, and when the time came to give color and life to the snake, I copied the original idea which was in red. I also chose two tones, one softer and one for the shadow, and when I outlined the lines with black it took on an incredible volume.

Así fue como avancé y empecé a repasar todas las líneas con rotulador negro. Me iba encantando, también usé uno de mis marcadores grises para hacer sombras, y cuando el momento de darle color y vida a la serpiente llegó, copié la idea original que era en rojo. También elegí dos tonos, uno mas suave y otro para la sombra, y cuando delimité las lineas con negro tomó un volumen increible.
I love this kind of projects because it allows me to plan on creations that I make myself, although it is not the most original idea that you will see today, it is my way to entertain my mind in these days that go slow and with a ton of thoughts running through me. I have decided that this year I will be more orderly and polite with my notes and so I have two new notebooks, still, having things clearer visually helps me a lot in the day to day.

Me encantan este tipo de proyectos porque me permite planear sobre creaciones que yo misma hago, aunque no es la idea más original que verás hoy, es mi manera de entretener la mente en estos días que avanzan lentos y con una tonelada de pensamientos recorriéndome. He decidido que este año seré más ordenada y educada con mis anotaciones y por eso tengo dos cuadernos nuevos, aún así, tener las cosas más claras visualmente me ayuda mucho en el día a día.

Once I completed the main part of the calendar, I started with details, as January has already finished, I completed it and crossed it out, February is still running, so I only wrote the numbers of the month, but I did not do it in all the months, although each one is already in its place announced, the idea is that if some month I think of another type of writing in it, I can do it, and if not, complete with the calendar once that month arrives. It will depend on the plans from here on.

Una vez que completé lo principal del calendario, empecé con detalles, como enero ya ha terminado, lo completé y lo taché, febrero aún está transcurriendo, asique solo escribí los números del mes, pero no lo hice en todos los meses, aunque ya están cada uno en su sitio anunciados, la idea es que si algún mes se me ocurre otro tipo de escritura en él, poder hacerlo, y sino, completar con el calendario una vez llegue ese mes. Dependerá de los planes de aqui en adelante.
I also left a caption at the end, in case any other motivational phrase comes to me, I really enjoy reading some messages that I have left, and others that I will put soon. The idea of decorating my space is never enough, in this opportunity, it is useful and necessary, but I am thinking about buying another cork, or something to put in the background and exchange the posters when I feel like it.

También dejé un pie al final, por si alguna otra frase motivadora llega a mi, disfruto mucho leer algunos mensajes que me he ido dejando, y otros que pondré en breve. La idea de decorar mi espacio nunca es suficiente, en esta oportunidad, es útil y necesaria, pero estoy pensando si comprar otro corcho, o algo para poner de fondo e intercambiar los cartelitos cuando me venga en gana.
