¡DÍA MUNDIAL DEL AGUA!
Quiero compartir con ustedes un hermoso momento creando una vela marina. La verdad estaba buscando tantas ideas y al final me quedé con esta. Está hermosísima. El agua es hermosísima. Quise hacer esto porque mostrar su belleza y su naturaleza que es tan necesaria... espero les sirva para poder entender que ella es indispensable, ella es tan importante en nuestras vidas que no existiriamos si no está, moriríamos si no está. Espero que al ver este hermoso adorno quedes con las ganas de cuidarlo y preservarlo para que nuestra amiga agua pueda conservar su belleza. No tirarle basura, no derramarla, porque si ella permanece nosotros también. Imagínense ustedes tener que beber agua sucia solo porque un día una persona decidió tirarle una botella de refresco porque le daba flojera acercarse a la basura. ¡SERÍA TERRIBLE! Vamos a cuidar el agua para que ella pueda conservar su belleza desde los ríos, lagos, mares y hasta los más pequeños arroyos.
Con esto me sumo al concurso del día mundial del agua, espero que les guste.

I want to share with you a beautiful moment creating a marine candle. I was really looking for so many ideas, and in the end, I settled on this one. It's beautiful. Water is beautiful. I wanted to do this because it shows its beauty and its nature, which is so necessary... I hope it helps you understand that it's indispensable, it's so important in our lives that we wouldn't exist without it, we would die without it. I hope that when you see this beautiful decoration, you'll want to take care of it and preserve it so that our friend, water, can retain its beauty. Don't litter it, don't spill it, because if it remains, so do we. Imagine having to drink dirty water just because one day someone decided to throw a soda bottle at it because they were too lazy to go near the trash. IT WOULD BE TERRIBLE! Let's take care of water so that it can retain its beauty, from rivers, lakes, oceans, and even the smallest streams.

Los materiales que vamos a utilizar son:
*Un frasco de mayonesa de medio kilo, pero ustedes deciden el tamaño.
*piedras del mar o parecidas. En este caso voy a usar de las dos; las del mar me las trajo mi papá una vez que fue a visitar a mi tio a Barcelona y fueron a la playa. Y las otras la tomé de mi casa.
*ramitas parecidas a las algas.
*un pedazo de hilo.
*Aceite de comer.
*tapa o chapa. Yo usé una de mantequilla, de las de plástico y luego la corté para darle la forma redonda
Y por último pero no por eso menos importante (al contrario, el más importante)
*agua.
Vamos a empezar colocando el agua en el frasco, que no sea totalmente lleno porque vamos a meter cosas y puede desbordarse con el peso.
Seguimos a decorar; ponemos las ramitas y las piedras. Puedes poner más cositas que represente el mar. Yo lo voy a dejar así.
Después revisamos, si le falta algo de agua se le echa porque queremos que quede casi al tope, como 1 dedo menos de la orilla para continuar con el aceite comestible. Y sí, lo echamos al agua.
Luego de eso vamos a tomar la tapa o la chapa y le vamos a abrir un agujero (pequeño) para meter por ahí el hilo empapado en un poquito de aceite. Lo ponemos arriba en el frasco, que flote en el aceite y prendemos la mecha.

*Sea stones or similar. In this case, I'm going to use both. My dad brought me the sea stones when he went to visit my uncle in Barcelona and went to the beach. And I got the others from my house.
*Twigs similar to seaweed.
*A piece of string.
*Cooking oil.
*Lid or sheet metal. I used a plastic one for butter, and then cut it to give it a round shape.
And last but not least (in fact, the most important)
*Water.
Let's start by placing the water in the jar. Don't fill it completely because we'll be putting things in it and the weight could cause it to overflow.
Now we'll continue decorating; we'll add the twigs and stones. You can add more things that represent the sea. I'm going to leave it like this.
Then we check. If it's missing any water, we add it because we want it to be almost at the top, about 1 finger's width less than the edge to continue with the edible oil. And yes, we add it to the water.
After that, we'll take the lid or the metal sheet and make a (small) hole to insert the thread soaked in a little oil. We place it on top of the jar, so it floats in the oil, and light the wick.
Listo, tenemos nuestra vela marina.
Ready, we have our nautical candle.
