Process
- Let's start by explaining the overall process step by step in the first step with the help of a lead pencil I have highlighted the overall drawing.
- Usually ID start colouring from the lightest colour first but this time I thought why not to start with the random colour so I used red colour as we all know that red colour is mostly considered as a lucky colour the hairs of the character are red so I painted the hair red as you can see in the image above.
- As you can see that the body of the character is a supposed to be of the body of a fish and the character is looking like a mermaid as the upper part is more like a human and below it is looking like a fish and I have used very light grey sky blue colour with heavy water on the overall body.
- I think the character is wearing some sort of ornamentals as you can see a necklace in the neck and very heavy metal things around his wrist and their more looking like made out of gold so I have use light yellow colour for them.
- Now it's time to give some other extra details like for the overall body of the mermaid I have used grey and light blue colour and to give some realistic look to the necklaces and ornamentals I have used a red colour as for reflection.
- In order to give some extra details for giving some hide and close to the hairs I have used simply brown colour and for eyes you can see I have used three colour light purple red and black and white as well.
- At this stage overall highlights have been given no only one process or one step is left which is out lining the character.
- In the last I gave the most satisfying step which is outlining the character with black colour I am using black marker for the overall outlining of the character.
