Happy with his scarf in spring🧣✨[ES/EN]

Hola amigos hivers.

English

Hello hivers friends.

It's been a long time since I last posted something, but don't think I've forgotten about the community, no, of course not, I've simply had a lot of setbacks and who hasn't had difficult situations? But that hasn't stopped me from wanting to share my projects with you.

I tell you that some time ago I had bought yarns and a set of crochet hooks with the idea of making a scarf for my husband (he wanted one and for me to crochet it). I was very excited and looked for patterns to make a scarf and consulted several designs with him to have a reference. When he made his decision, the first thing I told him was 😅 that it was going to be very hot, which makes sense because that's what scarves are for, but we live in Cuba and well, it's rarely cold here (I'm not going to deny it). But anyway, I wasn't going to question something he always wanted and I prepared to make him his scarf. It took me a long time to finish it but it was worth it and so I share the process with you.

Materials

Yarn (I used two colors)
Needle
Scissors

Steps

I started by making the chain stitch until the desired width and then I lifted the fabric with a double crochet stitch. In that first round I left separations between the double crochets with a chain in between.

Once that round was finished, I went up this time with half a stitch (always turning the fabric).

Once at the other end after the half stitches I lifted again with double crochet stitch this time without leaving space between them (since my husband wanted it to be very tight).

That was the point that I used until the end of the work. The only variations I made were when I used another color, which as you can see I did this work in green and black. It took me about two months to finish it, I wanted to have it ready for last February 14, Day of Love, but it couldn't be done so I decided to give it to him as a birthday gift last March on the 21st (which for that date was ready). The scarf is not very long as he wanted but he is satisfied. I used 200 grams of yarn in total and made 120 wraps along the entire length of the scarf.

I'm not going to lie to you, I don't like making scarves, but as I said before it was worth it to see him in the middle of spring happy with his scarf 😄 (with the heat it is here). That was all, it is true that it is quite simple but all the work is exhausting, I remember that there were days when I ended up with a lot of pain in my arms, but every effort has its reward. I hope you liked it. See you in a next post❤️.
