Tutorial Creating An Old Map Of Venezuela

in DIYHub22 hours ago

Hello good morning to all friends welcome once again to a new tutorial, I know you are always used to show you painting tutorials, but in several opportunities I will be showing you other different and creative drawings to share with you.

This time I will be talking about the Map of Venezuela, a little girl wanted me to make a map for her school, so the first thing that crossed my mind was to create it with an old style.

Below I will show you the process and the materials I used.

Materials

  • Paper sheet

  • Brushes

  • Coffee

  • Piece of sponge

  • Yellow, red, black cold paints

  • Pencil

Here is the list of materials I used.

To start I have placed the sheet of paper on the table, then I need to age the paper a little, I really wanted to give it a yellowish tone not too marked, so I put coffee in a tray and added a little water, then with a sponge absorb the coffee and apply it on the sheet being careful not to break it, do not panic at first it will be very wet and you will have to wait for it to dry.

Then with a graphite pencil I have drawn the map once done, I used red and black paint to create the brown color, with a brush we are going to apply the paint as you see here along the edges of the map.

Once the edges are marked in brown color we are going to mix yellow and brown paint to create antique tones, so we fill in yellow and brown tones the states of the Map, with a ruler to finish we are going to place the names.

I really liked it a lot, in fact when I have my home I plan to make a similar one to place it on the wall, the truth is that it looks like an old map that attracts a lot of attention so it has been impressive.

I hope you like this work of art, thank you for being present in my publications, many blessings to all of you.

Until next time

I think it's a brilliant idea and an intelligent use of certain ingredients to give an old appearance. I am eager to see more works like this in the future. Great job.
