Wow, I had no idea there is such a problem in India. I mean the vanishing working class. Sounds very unsustainable and troublesome for the entire society of your country in future. There should be some incentives for those people to work... Btw very cool that you learned another skill. I know you work in the IT industry but seeing how happy are you being around your garden and doing this DIY handyman outdoorsy stuff, I think you actually feel better somewhere in the fresh air, doing something "real and tangible" rather than sitting by your laptop in the office, right? I can totally relate to this. I have been feeling it like this for quite some time already. I will always prefer the real world out there to the online / virtual world.
Very true, I have actually dreams to set up my own business - do a start up with what I like - gardening - so we will give people ready to use pots with flowers or fruits - they take it use it for a month or two and then come back and exchange and take fresh. I feel, everyone should have at least 2-3 trees in their balcony and teach their kids to love trees and nature and care for them. For example, people here go to market and buy 10 rupees of flower every day. They spend half an hour. What if they get 2-3 trees in their balcony that would cost them same, but give them fresh flower along with the beauty and oxygen. Sometimes its difficult to choose what our passion is - there is no back up for us. But hopefully some day we will get there.
Amazing vision, I love it. Hopefully, you will be able to make it happen one day :)
