Happy day, DIY Hub! Christmas is coming and it's time to make some crafts for the tree or other spaces at home. Today I want to present 2 ornaments alluding to this beautiful time of year, these are angels and gift boxes. Join me to see the process of elaboration.
¡Feliz día, DIY Hub! Ya se acerca la navidad y es momento de realizar algunas manualidades para el arbolito u otros espacios del hogar. Hoy les quiero presentar 2 adornos alusivos a esta linda época de año, se trata de unos ángeles y unas cajitas de regalo. Acompáñenme a ver el proceso de elaboración.
The materials we will need are / Los materiales que vamos a necesitar son:
2 cartons of toilet paper rolls / 2 cartones de rollos de papel higiénico
Gold paint and brush / Pintura dorada y pincel
Scissors and liquid silicone / Tijeras y silicón líquido
Silver foamy and golden thread / Foamy plateado e hilo dorado
We start the angel craft by marking a large circle on the cardboard roll and another smaller circle in the center. We will also mark a line down the middle of the circle and make two marks as shown in the image. We proceed to cut out until we have two pieces like these.
Iniciamos la manualidad del ángel marcando un círculo grande en el rollo de cartón y otro circulo más pequeño en el centro. También vamos a marcar una línea por la mitad del círculo y realizamos dos marcas como las que vemos en la imagen. Procedemos a recortar hasta que nos queden dos piezas como estas.
We take the piece that has the circular excess at the top, fold it and join the edges, gluing with the help of liquid silicone.
Tomamos la pieza que tiene el sobrante circular en la parte superior, la doblamos y unimos los bordes, pegando con la ayuda de silicón líquido.
Now we are going to paint both pieces with gold cold paint. We should apply two coats if necessary.
Ahora vamos a pintar ambas piezas con pintura al frio dorada. Debemos aplicar dos capas si se considera necesario.
Once the paint has dried, we will shape the wings of our angel by gluing the pieces as shown in the picture.
Un vez que la pintura haya secado, vamos a darle forma a las alas de nuestro ángel pegando las piezas de la manera que vemos en la imagen.
It only remains to place a golden thread and we would be ready with our beautiful angel.
Solo resta colocar un colgadero con hilo dorado y estaríamos listos con nuestro bonito ángel.
Now let's go with the gift boxes. For this craft we fold the paper roll so as to achieve a cubic shape.
Ahora vamos con las cajitas de regalo. Para esta manualidad doblamos el rollo de papel de manera de lograr una forma cubica.
We mark two lines at a distance of 3 cm and make cuts at the ends as we can see.
Marcamos dos líneas a una distancia de 3 cm y hacemos cortes en los extremos como podemos ver.
The idea is to give the cardboard the shape of a little box. Glue the folds with liquid silicone.
La idea es darle al cartón forma de cajita. Pegamos los pliegues con silicón líquido.
Now it's time to paint the box with gold paint or the color of your choice.
Es hora de pintar la cajita con pintura dorada o del color de su preferencia.
We take strips of silver Foamy and make the wrapping ribbons of the gift box.
Tomamos tiras de Foamy plateado y hacemos los lazos de envoltura de la cajita de regalo.
All that is left to do is to place a golden thread and our gift box is ready.
Solo resta colocar un colgadero con hilo dorado y ya nuestra cajita de regalo estaría lista.
Here we can see the final result of both crafts, ideal to decorate the Christmas tree, or as in my case, a natural tree from my garden.
Acá podemos ver el resultado final de ambas manualidades, ideales para adornar el árbol de navidad, o como en mi caso, un árbol natural de mi jardín.
