I know that in some countries February 14 is a day to celebrate the loving bond that unites us to another person, a day accompanied by chocolates, stuffed animals and flowers, sometimes... I also see it as a day to celebrate friendship and not only a courtship or marriage, because I believe that in friendship there is also a mutual affection that grows and is cultivated with love.
Therefore, that day we can also show the appreciation we have for our friends (also every day 🐝) and if like me, you have friends who have a great passion for cacti and succulents, there is no cooler detail and made with love than this:
Some time ago I bought a pot made of cement, very tiny, I reserved it to make a gift at another time and the moment came, I have to tell you that I bought it in a place where they fill water bottles, nothing to do with gardening 😅, but it so happens that they had a solitary pot, I saw it over there in a corner of a showcase and I didn't buy it that day. A week went by, then a month, two months and there I was rescuing that solitary pot to leave it as an ornament in my library for another month 😅.
At that time I wasn't sure what design I wanted to paint on it, nor did I know if anyone would actually use it. It turns out that recently a friend has become the lord of plants (and cats) is fascinated with cactus, so for the day of love and friendship, I want to give him a cactus in a pot loaded with good vibes.
You know the context, hehehe! The pot is inspired by the colors we see on February 14, I like it a lot because the pink color generates a connection with the natural color of the cactus, this is because the pink color is complementary to the green color, well actually of the lighter shades of green.
For now, we'll leave the color theory for another day 😉.
You will be able to make this craft in just 3 steps, you will need:
- Friends who make oatmeal cookies, enjoy long talks and share their recipes with you (These are the best 100% recommended). ✨
- Flower pot.
- Brushes.
- Red and white paint.
- Water-based gloss or varnish.
- Succulent or cactus.
Step 1
Since we do our own color mixing here, we start by mixing in a palette or container some red and white for the base. It doesn't have to look the same as this one, but the idea is to make the base look different from the color of our design.
Two coats will be enough.
Step 2
To draw and fill the hearts we mix again red and white, but this time it will be less amount of red. And we will use a fine brush to make the hearts that will cover the whole pot.
Do you believe in the power of words? Well if so, as you fill each heart, say good things about your friends, this pot is now a vessel of positive energy. 🐝 They can be words of thanks, words of encouragement, words of prosperity, they should be sincere words.
Step 3
Lastly, a coat of gloss and dry, after transplanting the cactus touch another pinch of positive words, it's proven to make a difference in our plants. Does it look like a fruit or is it my imagination? 🤭

Lo veo también como el día de celebrar la amistad y no únicamente un noviazgo o matrimonio, pues creo que en la amistad también existe un afecto mutuo que crece y se cultiva con amor.
Por lo tanto, ese día también podemos demostrar el aprecio que tenemos por nuestros amigos (también cada día 🐝) y si al igual que yo, tienes amigos que tienen una gran pasión por los cactus y suculentas, no existe un detalle más genial y hecho con amor que este:
Hace tiempo compré una maceta hecha de cemento, muy pequeñita, la reservé para hacer un obsequio en otro momento y el momento llegó, tengo que decirles que la compré en un lugar donde llenan botellones de agua, nada que ver con jardinería 😅, pero da la casualidad que tenían una maceta solitaria, la vi por allá en un rincón de una vitrina y no la compré aquel día. Pasó una semana, después un mes, dos meses y pues ahí me ves rescatando aquella solitaria maceta para luego dejarla como adorno en mi biblioteca por un mes más 😅
En ese momento no tenía claro que diseño quería pintar en ella, ni sabía si en realidad la usaría alguien. Pues resulta que hace poco un amigo se ha convertido en el señor de las plantas (y gatos) está fascinado con los cactus, entonces a propósito del día del amor y la amistad, quiero obsequiarle un cactus en una maceta cargada de buenas vibras.
Ya conocen el contexto, ¡jeje! La maceta se inspira en los colores que vemos el 14 de febrero, me gusta mucho porque el color rosa genera una conexión con el color natural del cactus, esto es porque el color rosa es complementario del color verde, bueno en realidad de los tonos más claros de verde.
Por ahora, dejaremos la teoría del color para otro día 😉.
Podrás realizar esta manualidad en solo 3 pasos, necesitarás:
- Amigos que hagan galletas de avena, que disfruten de charlas largas y que te compartan sus recetas (Estos son los mejores 100% recomendados). ✨
- Maceta.
- Pinceles.
- Pintura de color rojo y de color blanco.
- Brillo al agua o barniz.
- Suculenta o cactus.
Paso 1
Como aquí hacemos nuestras propias mezclas de color, empezamos mezclando en una paleta o envase un poco de rojo y blanco para la base. No tiene que quedar igual a este, pero la idea es que la base se vea diferente al color de nuestro diseño.
Dos capas serán suficientes.
Paso 2
Para dibujar y rellenar los corazones mezclamos de nuevo rojo y blanco, pero esta vez será menos cantidad de rojo. Y Usaremos un pincel fino para realizar los corazones que cubrirán toda la maceta.
¿Creen en el poder de las palabras? Pues si es así, mientras rellenan cada corazón, digan cosas buenas sobre sus amigos, est ahora es un recipiente de energía positiva. 🐝 Pueden ser palabras de agradecimiento, de aliento, de prosperidad, deben ser palabras sinceras.
Paso 3
Por último, una capa de brillo y a secar, después de trasplantar el cactus toca otra pizca de palabras positivas, está comprobado que esto hace una diferencia en nuestras plantas. ¿Parece una fruta o son ideas mías? 🤭
