Hello DIY lovers, it's been a while since I've worked on a crochet project, what would I tag that on? Well, I'm still thinking about that. But then let me just tag it on the fact that I have been so busy with work and have been so occupied that I've forgotten a little about crocheting, but then I'm glad I was able to make this project for a friend.
Little story: on Sunday, I rocked a headband I made to the church, and my friend saw it and was like, "Wow, Tari, I like your headband." At that moment, I became shy because, guess what? "It's my project." Then immediately I decided to make one for her, just admiring my hand work.
Materials used
Yarns
Crochet needle
Procedures involved?
I started by making a slip knot then I went further into making seventeen chains.
After that, I continued by skipping the first chain, inserted my hook into the second, and made a single crochet in the rest of my chains.
After repeating the same processes, I realized one side of the edge was looking thinner than the other side, so I had to loosen the side that looked thin and continue with the original pattern by paying extra attention to what I was doing.
I continued by repeating the same process till it got to my desired length, and I was done with my headband. Then I sized it on my head, and the thought that came to my mind was the size of the person's head, so I had to add more rows to it, and I ended with a chain of one.
At this point. I was done with my headband, and it was time to join the edges to get the X shape, so I folded the edges into each other, thereby creating a small hole in the middle; then I used my crochet needle and made a slip stitch into the stitches.
After I was done with the first side, I did the same thing for the other side as well and got my X shape. I'm glad the headband came out as expected. And I hope she loves it.
