In this opportunity I come to share with you another of my furry, funny and gluttonous loves.

Kenji Om: My little Panther

This beautiful dark and mysterious kitten came into my life because an irresponsible uncle from one day to the next decided to leave the country and decided to leave him as if he were just another object of no value to him.

He was not neutered, he had a special condition that did not allow him to eat his food properly, so it was quite a challenge at first and I admit it still is.

I don't have pictures of him when he was a baby because I was not his owner, I adopted him when he was about a year and a half old.

Difficult Stage

It was difficult for both of us to adapt, because due to the abandonment he suffered, I noticed that he developed stress and anxiety, his hair began to fall out a lot and sometimes he was aggressive with me, my legs scratched, little by little I tried to gain his trust, I gave him many walks as if he were a dog, sometimes he made a mess at home but all that was appeased when I could take him to the vet to finally castrate him.

I admit that at that time I honestly didn't want to have a cat, because I had lost a kitten that I adopted and she died at six months old, she was very sick and there was no way to save her so that affected me a lot and I said I didn't want to go through that again.

But it just happened 😹

Little Glutton

I remember that my uncle told me on several occasions that he did not eat much, in fact, it was hard for them to feed him because he usually did not want to, even when they tried to give him chicken, he would not eat and he would not let them comb his hair.

When he arrived here, he started to eat as if he had never been fed before, and he rather liked it when I brushed his fur, he even lies down for me to give him a little massage.

He has never been very affectionate, he is a bit serious and surly but he has his sensitive moments hahaha.

Peculiar Tastes

Something I love about cats is that they love simplicity, they don't complicate their existence, you make an effort to buy or make them little beds, cushions for them to sleep comfortably and they always prefer anything they find interesting, a simple bag, a box and even a pasta strainer 😹😹 😹 😹 That's their favorite place to sleep. Actually he sleeps in many improvised places, the pasta strainer, a basket that was to put fruits and vegetables and my old computer desk.

My Photogenic Shadow

I think all of us who have pets, love to take pictures of them like crazy obsessive, they are so perfect and funny, but it is a challenge when you have a furry companion as dark as night, because I can rarely take a good picture of him, because he looks like a shadow and sometimes you can't even see his eyes, outdoors it is much easier, with natural light and in nature he looks perfect and he thinks no one sees him hahaha. That's why I have more pictures of Sakura, my dog than of my panther.

My Little Dark Knight

Kenji is definitely a very special little panther, he is not the typical cat that falls asleep in your lap, but he meows so loud and strange that he almost talks to you, I admit that sometimes that is a bit desperate but what surprised me the most about him, is how protective he is. When he sees that my dog or I are in front of something that he considers dangerous such as other dogs bothering us, he is able to go out and chase those dogs so they don't come near us 😹Kenji is my Batman, no doubt about it.

Before he was not like that, he was like more coward but he started to bring out that inner batman since I rescued my Sakura, since she is very fearful and he feels that he must protect her and vice versa. They take care of each other. They are too beautiful.

En esta oportunidad les vengo a compartir a otro de mis amores peludos, travieso y glotón.

Kenji Om: Mi Panterita

Este hermoso gatito oscuro y misterioso llegó a mi vida porque un tío irresponsable de un día para otro decidió irse del país y decidió dejarlo como si fuese un objeto más sin ningún valor para él.

No estaba castrado, tenía una condición especial que no le permitía comer bien sus alimentos, así que fue todo un reto al principio y admito que aún lo sigue siendo.

No tengo fotos de él cuando era bebé porque yo no era su dueña, lo tengo desde que tenía un año y medio aproximadamente.

Etapa Difícil

Fue difícil para ambos adaptarnos, pues debido al abandono que sufrió, noté que desarrolló como estrés y ansiedad, comenzó a caersele mucho el pelo y en ocasiones era agresivo conmigo, me tenía las piernas rasguñadas, poco a poco traté de ganarme su confianza, le daba muchos paseos como si fuese un perro, en ocasiones hacía uno que otro desastre en casa pero todo eso fue apaciguándose cuando pude llevarlo al vet para castrarlo finalmente.

Admito que en ese momento yo sinceramente no quería tener un gato, porque yo había perdido a una gatita que adopté y murió a los seis meses, estaba muy enferma y no hubo manera de salvarla así que eso me afectó mucho y dije que no quería volver a pasar por eso.

Pero simplemente ocurrió 😹

Pequeño Glotón

Recuerdo que mi tío me comentó en varías ocasiones que él no comía mucho, de hecho, les costaba darle de comer porque por lo general él no quería, incluso cuando intentaban darle pollito, no comía y tampoco se dejaba peinar.

Cosa que me causó asombro pues, cuando llegó aquí fue todo lo contrario, empezó a comer como si nunca antes le hubiesen dado comida, y mas bien le agradaba cuando le cepillaba su pelaje, hasta se acuesta para que le de un pequeño masaje.

Él nunca ha sido muy cariñoso, es un poco serio y arisco pero tiene sus momentos sensibles jajaja.

Sus Gustos Peculiares

Algo que me encanta de los gatos es que aman la simplicidad, no se complican la existencia, te esfuerzas por comprarles o hacerles camitas, cojines para que duerman cómodo y ellos siempre prefieren cualquier cosa que les parezca interesante, una simple bolsa, una caja y hasta un colador de pasta 😹😹 😹 Ese es su sitio favorito para dormir. En realidad duerme en muchos lugares improvisados, el colador de pasta, una cesta que era para colocar frutas y verduras y el escritorio viejo de mi computadora.

Mi Sombra Fotogénica

Creo que todos los que tenemos mascotas, adoramos tomarles fotos como locos obsesivos, es que son tan perfectos y graciosos, pero es todo un reto cuando tienes un compañero peludo muy oscuro como la noche, pues rara vez puedo tomarle una buena foto, porque parece una sombra y a veces no se le ven ni los ojitos, en exteriores si es mucho más fácil, con luz natural y en la naturaleza se ve perfecto y él cree que nadie lo ve jajaja. Por eso tengo mas fotos de Sakura, mi perrita que de mi panterita.

Mi pequeño Caballero de la Noche

Kenji es definitivamente una panterita muy especial, no es el típico gatito que se duerme en tu regazo, pero maulla tan fuerte y extraño que casi te habla, admito que eso a veces es un tanto desesperante pero lo que más me sorprendió de él, es lo protector que es. Cuando él ve que mi perrita o yo estamos ante algo que él considera peligroso como por ejemplo otros perros que nos molesten, él es capaz de salir a perseguir a esos perros para que no se nos acerquen 😹Kenji es mi Batman, sin duda alguna.

Antes él no era así, era como más cobarde pero comenzó a sacar ese batman interior desde que rescaté a mi Sakura, ya que ella es muy miedosa y él siente que debe protegerla y viceversa. Se cuidan mutuamente. Son demasiado hermosos.
