Hello friends who love drinks, I hope you are having a great day compared to me who is dying of heat, the heat in my city is somewhat strong and just to cool off a bit I wanted to make this delicious chicha that I had never prepared before, it is made with cooked spaghetti, yes spaghetti and perhaps you are wondering why spaghetti and not rice, you see, here in my country Venezuela there are many ways to prepare chicha, the traditional one is made with rice, the one that our grandmothers always make for us, others choose to make it with wheat flour, obviously also vociferated, and the one that is made with spaghetti, which in this case is what I will prepare today.
As I mentioned, I have never stopped to prepare it but today I felt like making it so come with me and I will show you the ingredients I used and the super simple process to prepare it.
Ingredients:
- 200 gr of long spaghetti
- 500 ml of water
- water to boil the spaghetti
- Sugar 50 gr
- milk powder 3 tablespoons
- cinnamon powder
- Chocolate powder 1 tablespoon
- Vanilla to taste
- 1 tablespoon of salt
Procedure:
Step 01
First, we are going to start by placing our pot with water and we are going to bring it to a boil for a few minutes. I have used a somewhat thin pot so that this process of boiling the water is faster. After it has boiled, we will add our tablespoon of salt to the water, stir and immediately add our portion of spaghetti and cook for less than ten minutes since these spaghetti that I used are super thin and cook quickly.
Step 02
Birn, once my spaghetti is cooked, I'm going to test it and lift a little bit of it with a fork and quickly touch it to see if it's soft. It's ready. I remove it from the water and pour it into a large spoon and then add it to my blender. Here, previously I added the 500 ml of water and added the spaghetti.
Step 03
I will add the powdered milk, sugar and of course the vanilla essence to my spaghetti in the blender while we blend for 5 minutes or less if you notice that your drink is a little lumpy we will put the mixture through a strainer like I did here in the images, I strained all the chicha after blending it well.
Step 04
Once we have blown up the chicha, I will add it to my glass. I will add the chocolate powder, the cinnamon and of course my ice cubes, which cannot be missing so that this will refresh me a lot, and that's how we have finished it.
Result:
Our spaghetti chicha has turned out very delicious to taste, I had never tried it but to tell the truth I liked it a lot, it has a different flavor from the chichas that my grandmother made, I recommend making it if the recipe has caught your attention, I hope you like it a lot.
Thank you for getting to the end of this post, I wish you a happy afternoon and I'll see you next time, bye friends.
