Another of my contributions to the classics will be a refreshing margarita, I will not tell you much about the history of this cocktail because it is one of the history that varies the most, some say that it was created in Tijuana and others say that it was created in California, others in Jalisco. One even says that it was created by a waiter who fell in love with a dancer named Margarita, but in other versions they say that it was created by a woman who owned a hotel. There are so many versions that I don't know the origin
First of all, we start by preparing the glass, since this cocktail is prepared quickly, the margarita would be a special cocktail because it has its own glass, yes, the margarita glass is named after it. Unfortunately I had a conventional cocktail glass because the waiters have broken all of them. To prepare the glass we are going to frost it with salt, first we slide a slice of lemon along the edges to moisten it and then on a plate with salt we are going to edge it to ensure that the salt adheres to this part of the glass. The result should look like the photo.
Now in the mixing glass we are going to add ice and cool it, as in the previous post. We add the ice, mix with the tablespoon, once the glass is cold, we discard the ice, ready.
Ahora añadiremos 2 onzas de tequila.
Now we will add 2 ounces of tequila.
Seguimos con 3/4 de onza de Triple sec
We continue with 3/4 of an ounce of Triple sec
También añadimos 1 onza de zumo de limón.
We also added 1 ounce of lemon juice
And a dash of sugar syrup. This part is very optional since the three previous ingredients are enough, we do this to lighten the acidity a little but you can perfectly do without this step. This is my recipe and my way of preparing it.
Now we are going to mix with the spoon and test to make sure that everything is good and balanced, now we will add ice to bring the cocktail to the correct temperature, so we will mix again with the spoon, we will do this for a few short seconds.
Now we look for the strainer to not let the ice pass through and we pour the cocktail into the glass.
