Relax & Recharge With My Tiger Nut Smoothie.

Hello everyone, welcome to my blog on this beautiful Friday morning.

The weekend is here already, and it started with a chill cup of a delicious homemade smoothie. It's not a regular type of smoothie, so it might be new to so many people, but it's definitely a great one to try.

The tiger nut smoothie is actually one of a kind, judging by the natural sweetness of the fruit involved in making this tasty drink and the numerous health benefits that come with it.

The drink ticks so many boxes for me, and I just enjoy going back to it all over again. It's not expensive, judging by the value you are getting from the drink, and it's absolutely easy to prepare.

Ingredients

  • 150g of tiger nut

  • 8pcs of dates

  • 6 pcs of banana

  • 1 small ginger

These are the four ingredients needed to make this magic, so let's get to the preparation.


I already got my tiger nut and date yesterday because I can only get the dried one in my vicinity.

I soaked these two fruits in clean water since last night just to soften them because I need their juices, which it's impossible to get in their dry state. The tiger nut and date were in water for 12 hours, which is more than enough to do the job.

Since the fruits are soft, I started by making my tiger nut milk.

  • I rinsed the tiger nut twice to ensure there are not any dirt in them.
  • I transferred the tiger nut into the blender, added 25 ml of water.
  • I blended them for about 5 minutes.
  • After blending, I got my sieve to drain the tiger nut milk.

  • I placed the sieve on a cleaner container and started pouring the blended tiger nut into the sieve.

  • I drained the milk completely and moved on to the next procedure.

  • I rinsed the dates thoroughly to get rid of dirt.

  • I removed the back of the bananas.
  • I peeled the ginger as well.

  • After processing the ingredients, I got my blender ready for action again.
  • I turned the tiger nut milk into the blender.
  • I added the date, bananas, and ginger.
  • I added 50 ml of broken ice-block into the blender.
  • I blended the combo for five minutes and you need to see what it looks like.

The drink is ready, so I served it.

Like I mentioned earlier, this drink is fantastic and best served chilled.

The health benefits are quite a lot, and I believe that you can't regret giving this a try.
