Hoy les traigo una bebida un poco inusual pero muy deliciosa: Batido de Flor de Jamaica.
Les cuento que cuando estaba comprando las flores de jamaica en la frutería, vi que no estaban tan frescas y le pregunté al dueño sino tenía más frescas, a lo que me respondió esas están buenas para hacer Té, cuando le dije que era para merengada, él no lo creía y hasta risas le dió. Sin más, ya les comparto los ingredientes y preparación de esta deliciosa bebida.

Today I bring you a drink that is a little unusual but very delicious: jamaica flower smoothie
I tell you that when I was buying hibiscus flowers in the fruit shop, I saw that they were not so fresh and I asked the owner if he had any more fresh ones, to which he replied that they are good for making tea, when I told him that it was for meringue, he didn't believe it and even laughed. Without further ado, I will share with you the ingredients and preparation of this delicious drink.



INGREDIENTES
200 gramos de Flor de Jamaica
150 gramos de leche en polvo
Azúcar al gusto
2.0 litros de agua.

INGREDIENTS
200 grams of hibiscus flower
150 grams of powdered milk
Sugar to taste
2.0 litres of water.

PREPARACIÓN

La preparación es bastante sencilla.
Iniciamos lavando muy bien las flores de Jamaica y separamos los pétalos de la semilla. La semilla no la usaremos. Una vez separados todos los pétalos los llevamos al fuego en una olla con 1 litro de agua y dejamos hervir por unos 15 minutos, la idea es que los pétalos queden bien tiernos. Dejamos reposar hasta llevar el agua a temperatura ambiente.

PREPARATION

The preparation is quite simple.
Start by washing the hibiscus flowers very well and separate the petals from the seed. We will not use the seed. Once all the petals have been separated, put them in a pot with 1 litre of water and let them boil for about 15 minutes, the idea is that the petals are very tender. Leave to stand until the water comes to room temperature.

Con los pétalos ya reposados, vamos a la licuadora, agregamos los pétalos junto con el agua donde fueron hervidos y añadimos el otro litro de agua, licuamos y vamos incorporando poco a poco la leche y azúcar al gusto, yo le agregue solo 6 cucharadas, pues no me gustan los jugos muy dulces, licuamos por unos 5 minutos.

With the petals already rested, we go to the blender, add the petals together with the water where they were boiled and add the other litre of water, blend and gradually add the milk and sugar to taste, I added only 6 tablespoons, as I don't like very sweet juices, blend for about 5 minutes.

Esta preparación no se cuela, ya licuada solo resta agregar un poco de hielo o llevar al refrigerador hasta enfriar al punto de granizado, servir y disfrutar de este delicioso licuado que tiene un sabor realmente único.
