How to Make Juice Out from Miracle Fruit

Plants are all around, especially here in our province. Looking around, we can see the green leaves dancing and swaying blown by the whistling wind.

What a beautiful day! It was Saturday, my favorite day to be productive.
While I was sitting in our yard, I saw a tree with huge fruits. Those fruits are known as "Miracle Fruits". The fruit is derived from its scientific name “Calabash Fruit”.

The first reason why we planted this fruit tree it's because of people's feedback. We heard from others that this will help treat fever and respiratory illnesses like cough, asthma, and many others.

Because of this, we quickly looked for a place to buy this fruit tree so that we could plant it in our yard. We planted this in the year 2019 that's why it has grown tall now and already bears fruits.

Do you know what comes to my mind at that very moment?
I was thinking to make juice out of that fruit.
This is not the first time I made my own juice because usually when we buy a lot of fruits, my family and I make them into beverages. Some people also make their own because they believe that it's healthier and has more benefits.

We should make our own drinks as it is more beneficial compared to processed juices. We know that fresh fruits provide resistance to disease because they contain many minerals and vitamins that strengthen our body system.

In this blog, I will show you how to make juice out from Miracle Fruit. First, is the process. Then, the tools needed to extract it into juices.

Process of how I make the Miracle Fruit into a Juice

IMG_20230910_182246.jpg

Upon holding the fruit, I can say that it is heavy. Miracle Fruit usually weighs 1 to 3 kilograms depending on how big it is.

First, I sliced the fruit into a half.
I make sure that I hold it carefully because it might slip to avoid minor injuries. Upon opening the Miracle Fruit, I used a sharp knife to cut it. You must have a strong grip when slicing the fruit into half since the skin or the shell is very hard.

After opening it you can see the flesh of the fruit. When eating its raw it taste bitter and slightly sweet. I scooped the fruit and transferred it into a clean bowl. The texture was quite viscous and watery, so no need to add water.

After I scooped everything, I put it in a pot to be boiled on medium heat. It must be boiled so that we can extract all the juices from the fruit.

After 10 minutes you will see the amount of juices extracted from boiling it. You don’t need to worry if it turns black because it is just natural.

Then, I used strainer to remove and separate the chunks from the juice.

One fruit can produce about 7 glasses of juice so the time and effort in making this drink is worth it.

I shared this with my family and friends and they said it was delicious. That is why aside from the fact that this drink is very healthy, it's also really tasty.

Tools used in making this Juice

You will need a knife when cutting the fruit and a chopping board. A bowl and a spoon upon scooping the flesh. When boiling, you must use a pot and a spatula to stir the mixture. Then, a strainer to separate the chunks from the liquid. Lastly, you will need a glass or a bottle to place the juice or the finished product.

I hope you have learned something from my blog. The benefits we can get from 'Miracle Fruit" and the reasons why we should make our own drink.
Always remember, we should keep our body always healthy to make us happy.

That is all and Thank you for
your time! Hope to see you on my next blog! ❤️

Extracting of the juice from the fruit is not difficult that is why it is easy to make and aside from that it has many benefits. 😊

I had never seen this fruit before, when I saw the pulp I found a resemblance to the soursop, but I was surprised by the color it took when cooked. I will do my research here in Colombia to see if it exists or if anyone knows it. Thank you for sharing this miraculous fruit drink that from what you tell us is very beneficial for health. Greetings and blessings.

Saludos y bendiciones.

Yes, the fruit resembles to the soursop by just looking in its flesh but the miracle fruit is more big and there is no spike on its skin. 😊

Thank you for reading my blog!Yes, I gotta admit processed juice are delicious but fresh juice are more healthier. 😊
