Mother's natural remedy; an old fashioned blood booster from sorghum leaves

Hello everyone, welcome to the Amazing Drinks community, a community where you can show your skills on how to make different sweet drinks, like juice, smoothies, and any kind of drink.

So today I will be making a blood tonic from the usual ingredients we are all familiar with. The name of the ingredients is sorghum leaves, and the scientific name is (sorghum bicolor). When I was little, I remember that my mom always cooked this for me and my siblings whenever we were feeling sick.

Then we couldn't afford the usual blood tonic that every parent bought for their children, so instead of that, my mom would cook this with milk and sugar.

The reason why she always put sugar was because we were little and she wanted us to drink it at all costs, but ever since I became an adult, I don't like using sugar whenever I am making the blood tonic with sorghum leaves.

This sorghum leaf works effectively more than anyone can ever imagine; I think it may be because it is natural. Let's get into the kitchen and see how I made a blood tonic from dry sorghum leaves.

Ingredients:

Sorghum leaves (six leaves)
liquid milk (50g)

Process

The ingredients are few, but trust me when I say the outcome was very good, effective, and looked great as well. One thing about natural ingredients is that they don't need too much before they come out beautifully or sweet.

This sorghum leaf blood tonic doesn't really have any taste, but it is very effective, and I think I would make use of the sorghum leaves often from now on.

The leaves looked so dry and dirty, so I folded them and put them inside a clean bowl, then poured water over them to rinse them.

After that, I packed them inside a boiling kettle and then added one full cup of water to boil the leaves. I boiled it for 15 minutes because it doesn't need too much cooking.

After boiling, I poured the water from the sorghum leaves into a cup. As you can see, it looks so red.

LoL 😂 I wonder who discovered leaves for a blood tonic anyway, but it doesn't matter. As long as it is working effectively, I don't mind using it.

I added the 50g of milk into the same cup and then stirred.

Now the sorghum leaves blood tonic is read; it can be preserved in a refrigerator, and it can be taken like that; it depends on whichever way you like yours.

I love it hot so I will be drinking it right away. I hope you like the recipe. and don't forget to drop a comment to let me know what you think about this natural recipe.
