So, many of you that have conversed with me in the past will know that I'm a seasoned writer. In fact, I used to do it for money too. I had my own blog, my own column in prominent magazines and my work has been featured virally and globally in the past!
I demand excellence from the work that I present because I'm good at what I do. Although sometimes I admit that I often need an editor to proofread my work because occasionally I kahnt spurk enGlandish; I am prone to the odd occasional outburst. People like @neoxian have framed those as "Rayisms" and I somewhat agree with him.
Anyway, one thing that I pride myself on is that I have my own style. When you become a seasoned writer like I am you'll learn that you don't actually need to strictly adhere to perfect grammar and formatting. You can experiment with how words look on the screen and read them back to yourself to see if they work. My style is conversational so sometimes up is down and left is right. Some of you will know what I mean by that. Hell if you get real good at it you'll eventually have an editor to fix up the mess you've made on the screen.
That being said a lot of you wouldn't know any of this if I wasn't here to tell you about it. Obviously I have skills that I want to share with all of you and this is what we're going to be all about in the next stage of the Man Cave. Skill Sharing.
Before I get onto how we're going to be skill sharing a lot of you will be wondering how in hell will we be able to hold people's attention long enough to skill share on hive when it's all about crypto, finance and blogging -- anything in between doesn't get a look in. How the hell will we do that? Or even make a profit from it -- because we have token holders to feed.
Well, my community has known for a while that I've been growing my YouTube. I've had breaks here and there where I've been able to nuzzle my head deep into understanding what works versus what doesn't. These last two months I've done just that and it's paying off. My YouTube is gradually starting to snowball into something else. I'm finally understanding what works with the people.
So I will be growing my YouTube. Guess what my YouTube is about? Yeah, you guessed it - all things men. I hope you are seeing a connection here already! Got it yet? I hope so!
Anyway, once I've reached a level of subscribers and engagement that I'm happy with I'll start to promote this place like crazy. On all my content and shorts - I'll just go right for it. It's a chance for my fans to meet with me right? Several creators do this already and they are wildly successful.
Think of it like this. I will be promoting us as a way for men to come in and learn, and access tools and resources with help from the best we have to offer. Oh we'll have all sorts of topics and activities for them when the time comes. Health, wealth, finance, gardening, barbequing; if it's manly, you bet we'll have something on it!
Then from there we can do all sorts of creative cool things with them - like teach them to journal their journey's on hive for crypto for instance! Once they've mastered hive then they'll more than likely venture out to other projects and see what's up.
Is there a catch? Hell yeah there's a catch. They'll need to own LGN & BRO to get access to most of the good stuff on our server. We won't be creating shit for free. All of us need to eat right?!
Right!
And that's why we'll be cutting the creators in with a profit share. So if you have your own space and you're hard at work creating and teaching people that want to earn we'll give you a cut of sales.
I've yet to hardcode a system down but it'll be pretty fun and epic to try out. All spaces are currently free and regulars are encouraged to use them (as we have 4 already) so that we can test out what works versus what does not work.
And guess what? We're on the lookout for creators. So give me a dm on discord if you think you want to give it a shot. I wont be opening it up until at least 2024 so there is leeway to create something awesome and informative!
I've trialled this in the past and what typically tends to happen is that creators get locked in a hive mindset where they share their hive post and disappear for a week. NO. I'll be looking for engagement in other ways, resource packs, videos, all sorts!! We've a chance to create something awesome here and I'm not going to half-arse it.
All in all, it's going to be an exciting end of the year for us as we build into something awesome again, and transform us into the vision I originally had for us.
