Well, 5000 EUR is considered a nice amount of money in my country (Hungary), it's worth several months of wages. But this is still not life changing amount, so I would rather satisfy my gambling addiction, and go for treasure hunting. The experience alone might be worth it.
On the other hand, add an extra 0 to that amount and I would take that and invest it in a nice dividend portfolio or just ETFs to hold for long.
