Wow. First of all, thank you for sharing such a vulnerable part of your life journey with us. Depression is sadly a very unpredictable illness that can happen to anybody, anytime. It's great that you were able to finally find your way out of it. Some people aren't as lucky or fortunate.
You mentioned your wife helping you to notice and prevent when you are about to fall back into it and this got me curious. You don't have to answer if it's too personal but I was wondering if you had met your wife during the ten years of your depression? If yes, did this affect your union whatsoever? What role did she play?
Once again, thank you for sharing this, my mind has certainly been opened to the struggles that some people around me face.
Have a nice day Raymond🤗
Hey zitalove! No, I met my wife afterwards, although I have suffered with depression in bouts during our marriage. It doesn't affect our union because she is very proactive and she's not one to sit around and let the world come to her. So when she sees me slink into something deeper she'll grab me and talk :)
Wow, that's a great partner right there. It helps to have someone like her by your side.
My regards to the family. Stay safe
