Is the wind a bit hot?
As the sun rises from the horizon, casting a warm, golden glow over the campus, the sounds of adrenaline-rushed youth echo through the halls of the University. It was the beginning of an unforgettable adventure with some of my closest friends and a faculty that was as cool as ice. The air was filled with the promise of relaxation, adventure, and the kind of laughter that only true camaraderie can bring.
The journey began with the greeting of an empty campus and a chilly wind that ran through the campus, setting the mood for a rally.
I waited for the others to arrive for an hour, and without having breakfast I decided to head back home to have something.
Our journey began with the anticipation of a road trip at 9:50 am, the kind where the local Bengali music and suggestive Hindi songs serve as the song of the road, and the open road stretches out before you like a canvas of endless possibilities. We were handed out our breakfast. Albeit, the traffic was heavy even in this early hour of the day I decided not to eat it right away, I planned on saving it for after we reached the place.
Unfortunately, we encountered a site of a car crash, a family car that crashed with a bus. That dulled my mood as soon as the news arrived. We waited for the car to be pulled away by the authorities and after 40 minutes of waiting we were en route once again.
The chatter and laughter arose once again when the car was in motion, it became infectious, setting the tone for what lay ahead.
We arrived at 12:30 p.m. with no breakfast. I mentioned earlier that I was supposed to eat after returning home, but I waited out the time watching garbage on YouTube.
At first glance, the place was nothing out of the ordinary, or even better than average. A few statues in a poorly carved manner with dark colors yanked my excitedness out of the place.
My light of hope about the place further diminished as I witnessed the presence of multiple cars parked just outside the place. The people in the photo were my friends and the guy on the further left was my faculty that made it all happen.
The bus that brought us to our destination in one piece... and now I hope we will find our One Piece. The weather was as sunny as it could get, with a cool breeze skating effortlessly on the ground, the one thing I needed on such a humid day.
Another bugging thought crossed our minds after we reached. We had missed our breakfast option since we arrived after noon, so the next best thing to do would be to go straight to the pool first.
The area inside rekindled my hope, this resort was not that small at all, and it spanned a considerable area with rides as well!
From here, we encountered a lot of statues and scenery before reaching the pool. I clicked this one because this one reminded me of the table I used to have back in Kindergarten, My friends and I used to sit at a round table, and I was obsessed with my favorite Dino toy.
On a closer inspection, I now see that there was no water in the small lake down in the right corner. Meaning, that this resort was being renovated.
There were a few statues of geese and throughout the area, there were loads of hangout spots. The flower statues were beautiful and the mushrooms were perfect to sit on provided that you are in the right weight range.
I was not sightseeing at this point, I was on the way to the pool area. Such a beautiful representation of geese was erected all over the area.
Behind the geese was a lake that was a station for a water ride that was unfortunately off-limits due to some issues. Must be the renovation cash crunch...
The water was as green as my aunt's staple food, healthy but boring and low in proteins that we could get from meat. As you might've guessed, I am not a vegan but I am not against anyone. I merely wanted to share my opinion on food options.
A mandatory close-up flower pick that blurs off the background until it appears disfigured, p.s a Peter Griffin-type joke.
This was a great chilling spot on this hot and humid day. An array of diverse food options along with a few dessert options was present.
I continued to wander about while making sure I didn't stray far from the group. Then, I stumbled upon this structure. Inside this building were a few small rides for kids and behind this was a huge field perfect to play football or cricket. The greenery surrounding it would help brighten up anyone's mood.
This was a miniature slide that was perfect for the size of children that visited this place.
The journey to the pool area turned out to be quite the walk, so I decided to roam about a bit before actually heading there. Some of my friends had already gone over as I heard their excited cries in the distance but my priorities were set. I had to get a few more pieces of the area left to cover, I knew that I would be too tired after swimming to click some photos.
This lake covers the entire resort from the inside. This lake ran around the pool area too. In the distance, you can see that there are more raised for kids.
Finally, I reached the place I had been dying to try out for quite some time. The pool area was pre-occupied by other guests. The water was crystal clear and the pool was kept very clean.
A few moments later, a cool wind swept by and we saw that the dark clouds were approaching at great speed. Needless to say, my friends and I quickly changed into our swimming outfits and jumped in, the sheer excitement of having rain while swimming made us go bazonkers.
Some chose the dryness of shade as the rain started to pour but the rest of us were in a jolly good mood and soon afterward our faculty joined in. We all turned into children there, we did a "compulsory" challenge of an underwater breath-holding competition. Now, for a guy who regularly practices holding their breath due to discovering rotten stuff on the streets, it was an easy victory😅.
Some of us banded together and threw our faculty on the pool thrice 😁 after carefully ensuring his safety.
Rain and swimming go hand in hand. I can't remember having this much favor done for me in a single day. We were in the pool area for 3 hours straight.
Ps. You don't wanna know the amount of time the others took to change in the bathrooms. There were 5 bathrooms and each was occupied by ladies who forgot to bring their towels, Guess how they dried themselves there...?
After swimming for 3 hours and waiting 45 minutes to change my clothes in the bathroom, I tried my best to hide my hungriness and lack of energy at 3:25 pm. This was me without food since morning.
The rain had stopped an hour before I got out of the pool. I took this one after I got out of the pool, the sun giving out its warm fuzzy heat healed my skin after all that osmosis at the pool. A cool breeze proceeded shortly afterward.
On my way to the food** area, I saw that some of the ladies were enjoying the Santa Maria (lite version). There was a chorki, a ride that is similar to Jumping Kangaroo but smaller, that nobody wanted to ride. Good choice, we were all tired, hungry, and fresh out of the pool, with a little more dizziness and dry retching would've taken over everyone.
On the way back, I had a chance to visit the last part of the resort, this was one of the dead ends of the lake ride. Behind it was another huge field.
I went over and snapped a pic. The weather turned sweet and the pasture became more lively. It was the perfect place to relax and soak up some sun. One of my favorite areas beside the pool area. In the corners, there were swings perfect for couples.
The road I selected to get to the lunch area, I was famished.
The food was simple but amazing, we got pilaf, roasted chicken, and egg. Perfect for replenishing all that energy spent and the journey and pool.
This little statue, a hybrid creature that has the head of a lion and the body of a mermaid, was situated just beside the cafeteria. Somehow, they expected to fill the small lake through this one, which was going to take them days.
Regardless, this statue caught my attention for it's detail in its scales.
We had our lunch and our faculty surprised us with a few games they had planned beforehand. The games were raffle roe and pillow passing, no extra money was charged from us. Unfortunately, I didn't win anything in either game but the guy beside me got a 3rd prize for the raffle.
Our time for departure had neared. We were given 10 minutes to roam the entire resort before meeting in front of the lobby area. I had already covered the entire resort so I relaxed by swinging by the field.
I swung by the lobby area after the 10 minutes were up and I discovered that almost everyone had gathered here. We were ready for group pics that I shall not upload here.
My last click of the day was an okay sculptor who bid us farewell.
After all the hop, skip, and jump I was super exhausted but extremely satisfied with this experience with friends. Our return journey was shorter than I had anticipated. How cruel time was, seizing the moments of laughter... so easily.
Our faculty ensured each one of us returned home, safely. At the end of the journey, you couldn't help but ponder, "Would I even get such an experience again?"
Overall, the resort's pool area, the amazing weather, and the greenery was definitely a highlight of my stay and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation spot for cheap.
The place is so beautiful.... I'll visit the place for sure 😊
