Types of Adverbs..

Anyways am back to school and our lectures will start with full force😂😂😂😂
It is going to be bomb🤗🤗.
Not atomic or chemical bomb oo but it going to be interesting.
Now you have look for your books and you writing materials.
Am sure some people would have used their paper to toilet😂😂😂😂.
So back to the business of today.
A Recap.
In our previous class we talked about the use of adverb.
We started from parts is speech,what they are and the types and finally we moved on to explaining every bit of it.
We understood adverb to be a part of speech that modifies a verb,an adjective or another adverb.
We concluded that adverb tries to tell more about an action,how an action was performed and the manner in which it was performed.
It skipped my mind to tell you that we have different btype of adverb which ranges from
Adverb of time
Adverb of frequency
Adverb of manner
Adverb of place
Adverb of negation and affirmation.
Adverb of quality and so on and so forth.
This division of adverb makes it so easy to recognise any adverb in a sentence.
Don't forget that there are some words you can't say if they are adverb or adjective until they are used in a sentence for that will be the determining factor.🤗🤗

Adverb of manner
This type of adverb shows the manner in which an action was performed.it answers the question how or in which manner
Example
Sonia is singing loudly.
Singing is a verb "the action performed by Sonia" while loudly is an adverb"telling us the manner or how Sonia was singing" hence you can say that" loudly" is an adverb of manner
Adverb of degree
This type of adverb indicate the extend to which an action was performed.
Example
I am fully prepared for this 2up Tuesday 🤗🤗
Fully"is an adverb of degree because it tries to explain the extent I am prepared for the 2up.
Some of the words that indicate adverb of degree includes
Almost, very,too,so, entirely,hardly , only etc.
Adverb of time
This type of adverb tries to describes the time in which an action occured.
Example
Junior called me yesterday
"Called" is a verb while "yesterday" is an adverb telling more about the time the call was made.
Adverb of place
Chips are kept here.
"Are" is a helping verb
Kept is a main verb while here is an adverb indicating a place.
I know that most of you will begin to question how the word "is" is a verb.
Don't worry yourself.
I will come up with a clearer and better explanation of this in my next post.
