The world is big, big enough to leave even the most learned community with a whole more ocean of knowledge to voyage, mountains to climb, caves to discover, and hearts to love. Even the person who spent his whole life knowing the diversity of culture literally knows nothing compared to the actual diversity. He even doesn't have the minimum amount of knowledge to judge a culture he studied for lifetime. But alas! Those who doesn't even have a kin to cultural diversity ends up judging a culture by a tiny fraction of what he observed.
My words might perplex you on the thought that what makes me think like that. Nothing special. I was just studying on different cultures following a event on a group chat. One of my friend was expressing his aim to complete his higher studies in Turkey. That initiated the conversation related to the pros and cons of Turkey. One of us had the conception of Turkey as a bad culture as he observed the movie representation of Turkish culture in some movies like Siccin . His judgement of a culture based on a horror movie originated in country was hilarious. We laughed at his thoughts . But as I moved on studying different cultures , I realized that he was not alone, most of us were creating an idea of the cultures in our mind based on just what we see in the screen. This is not just about Turkey. It's the reality . I have never been to Mexico, but all I thought about Mexico is that it's a city of the Mafias and most of the person there are involved into crimes . I have never been to China , but I thought that all you will have in China is Ninjas , Samurais , and some Ching Chong Hanze Stuff. Maybe some of these concepts are real and most are not real as I have been presented . Similarly , media can easily brainwash us into anything they want. One thing you must follow, never judge a culture by movies , documentaries on them. Reality is not what you see in the movies. Know the people , try to connect them, then you will see that everyone's beautiful, every culture is beautiful , just like you are beautiful and amazing too. Believe it.
