Hello beautiful people, hope all are doing well. We’re thrilled to announce the launch of our fundraising campaign, “Donate One Dollar, Feed One Child 3.0” from our charity arm @bdcharity. This is our third attempt to provide some necessary grocery support to a few poor families for Eid-Ul-Fitr Day. Ramadan is the holy month of Muslims around the globe. They fast for 30 days with dedication and hardship. Already, two-thirds of the blessed and holy month of Ramadan has passed. After some days, Muslims all around the world will celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr, a time of joy and celebration. Cities and villages will be covered with many colors to express the joy and happiness of breaking fasting. From old to young all people will wear colorful dresses. However, for many people living in poverty in Bangladesh, Eid-ul-Fitr is a time of difficulty and struggle. While we Muslims adorn ourselves with new clothes and indulge in delightful dishes, for many, this remains beyond their reach.
Bangladesh is an economically rising country. However, around 10% of people still live below the extreme poverty line. These people mainly live in villages and slums, Ramadan and Eid can be challenging due to financial barriers. On top of that, the prices of regular essentials are increasing globally by 10 to 20%. It also reduces their capability to fulfill their needs. Nowadays these people hardly manage food for one or two meals daily, whereas basic human needs are more than this! Due to the worldwide crisis, it’s very difficult for the interim government to solve the issues instantly. Fasting and celebrating with lower resources can be both physically and emotionally difficult, and seeing those who are more fortunate celebrate Eid gorgeously can only inflict more distress.
Last two years we collected donations from this platform and also from friends and relatives. We collected a certain amount of money by which we provided necessary food items to 70 families in those 2 years. The emotions of those people after getting the Eid gifs before Eid day were heart-touching. However, this year we want to see the smiling faces again. By donating to our Eid-ul-Fitr fundraising campaign, you can help us provide essential supplies to those who need them the most.
This year, we have a plan to support at least 25 different families with some of the necessary food items required on Eid-ul-Fitr day.
We desire to raise enough funds to distribute food packages at the very end of Ramadan as an Eid gift to helpless villagers located in Comilla. Your donation, no matter how small, can help make this possible. For just $10, we can provide a family with enough food for Eid Day. With your support, we can reach even more families and bring a smile to their faces during this special time.
