Hi, my all steemit friends. How are you?
Today I want to introduce you to a man who A man who uses his guineas energy to become immortal in history. And he is the rebel poet of Bangladesh Kazi Nazrul Islam. One of my favorite poets.
I have studied the works of many whom I like. But my favourite poet is Kazi Nazrul Islam. I admire him most. His poems and other writing inspire me with hope and courage.

Nazrul Islam was born at Churulia in the district of Burdwan in the year 1306 B.S. He had to struggle with poverty from his childhood. He was of roaming nature. He went one place to another and never settled down one place. Nazrul Islam joined the First World War ( 1914-18). He fought there with great courage for which he was promoted to the post of havildar. After his return from the battle field, he solely dedicated himself to literature and started writing both prose and poetry.

His famous books are 'Agnibina' 'Bisher Banshi', Sarbahara and Rikter Bedan etc. He wrote some novels and many short stories. But he composed mostly songs and poems. He wrote about 2500 songs and gave tune to them.

Nazrul is called the rebel poet.He revolted against all that is coruption, inequality and injustice. Through his small pen he shook the mighty British Empire and was several times imprisoned. His feeling for the down trodden and the repression humanity found its expression through his melodious verses.

He fought with all his power against oppression, tyranny, superstition. Nazrul Islam suffered from an incurable brain disease since 1942. He remained silent for a long time and could not talk to anybody. At last, the rebel poet died in Dhaka on 29th August, 1976.
