Bangladesh Betar is like my family.

Bangladesh Betar. My love and passion are mixed with this name. As long as I have spent this short life at home, I have listened to innumerable dramas, songs, news and various funny programs through the very familiar and melodious voice of Bangladesh Betar through our small radio.
I still listen to the radio regularly. The subject may seem old-fashioned to you. But to me our radio feels like other family members. I think of our radio as your own, just as you think of your family members as your own.

There is no previous show on the radio. There are very few people present who listen to the radio. The condition of radio is fragile in the crowd of modern equipments like television, mobile phone, computer etc. Our only village in the whole village still has a radio.
In the past, radio was so popular that boys often wanted radio as dowry to get married. The boys used to go to the father-in-law's house to play the radio. But those are now just memories. Radio is now under a lot of threat. If there is ever a problem with our home radio, then there is no proper maker to repair it.

Go to the district town for repairs. Even in this ultra-modern age we are listening to the radio. We have a long tradition of listening to the radio. It is difficult to say when the radio was heard in our house. I have been watching my father listen to the radio since I was born.

Listening to the radio means listening to the programs of Bangladesh Betar. The thing is that now all the crew of Bangladesh Betar feel like family members. Our family including me is very much indebted to Bangladesh Betar. Especially when it comes to managing our disease-free lives.

My father is an illiterate man. It was not possible for my father to understand what kind of nutrients are in any fruit or vegetable. Again, it was not possible for my mother to understand how to maintain the nutritional value of cooking. But fortunately my parents are aware of this even though they are few now. Bangladesh Betar has fully contributed for this. Since the radio can be heard along with other household chores, everyone in our house listens to the radio.

In fact, work as the family doctor of our family on Radio or Bangladesh Betar. All the renowned doctors of the country give their medical advice on Bangladesh Betar. Which provides us with free high quality medical facilities. Through which we can now gain knowledge about many small diseases and be alert accordingly.
We also received a lot of information on corona prevention during the Covit-19 epidemic through the radio. This is about medical matters. Apart from this, we have various benefits including solving many problems of the society
I am enjoying this tiny radio.
There is no television in our house. My dad disliked it so much. Because he thinks it is haraam. My father is a religious man. So the only radio in our house is halal media. So our family, especially my parents, are getting to know a lot of unknown things through radio.

I have listened to many serial dramas and programs of Bangladesh Betar. I don't really know or have ever seen those actors and actresses but I can recognize them by listening to their voices.
In our house, the radio runs for about twelve hours in 24 hours day and night. If anyone ever came to our house, he would remember this radio. I have seen many people who have been surprised to see the radio in our house.

Of all the radio programs, the one I like the most is Ramadan. Hamd-Nat and Islamic discussions with sweet voices during Sehri, captivating recitation of Quran during Iftar etc. create a festive atmosphere in our home. We listen to the radio and organize sehri and iftar. During the month of Ramadan, many people come to our house to listen to the recitation of Quran. We are totally grateful to Bangladesh Betar for all these small joys.

So I pray to Allah that Bangladesh Betar will survive forever in spite of all adversities. And good luck to all the unseen crew and actors and actresses of Bangladesh Betar.

The last memory I can remember with radio is Bhoot Fm, that too five or six years ago and with a radio system that has become over a decade. After a long time, someone is reminding me about Radio, damn!
