Four years ago I started a special journey, a journey to explore world cinema, and that changed everything, including my life. Especially I like watching Classics, Independent, Art-House films and besides I started to discover world renowned film festivals, critics and many other aspects of cinema.
But if I go back in time to when I was in college, reading was my only hobby back then and all I wanted was to become a poet. But now, in my early thirties, from bottom of my heart, the only thing I want is to make a film. Yet I don't consider myself a-
Cinephile
There is a 'Scene' stuck in my head that I composed with the essence of my childhood and it embodied the smell of an unknown flower which I plucked, kept secretly and forgot. A little boy is running hurriedly to watch the weekly telecast cinema on national television. Cinema was the only source of visual entertainment back then. Masters whom I admire most are Ingmar Bergman, R.W. Fassbinder, Federico Fellini, Pier Paolo Pasolini, Theodoros Angelopoulos, Ermanno Olmi, Satyajit Ray, Jean Luc Godard, Yasujiro Ozu, Akira kurosawa and many more.
Bibliophile
(Again forgive me if I Pretebd like a bibliophile)
Still remember the day when I first entered the largest library in my town, and awestruck like colonel Aureliano when he with his father discovered ice, The library was beautifully designed and decorated like a ship deck and called 'Lighthouse'. I enjoyed reading Gabriel García Márquez, Franz Kafka, Albert Camus, Fyodor Dostoevsky and many of my native authors like Rabindranath Tagore, Bibhutibhushan Bandyopadhyay, Manik Bandyopadhyay. 'One Hundred Years of Solitude' is my all time favorite novel.
Surely Not an Audiophile
In my next life (is there any?) I would like to learn Sitar. I have great admiration for Hindustani Classical. in fact I like to Discover new Genres. Last year was a 'Metal Year' for me and since the beginning of January I am completely lost in a 'Trance'

I've got a certain taste for Poster Designing (Pretty amateurish though).
Now its time to close the curtains. I am a person who spends all of his youth in total isolation. Never completed my graduation nor published a book or poem. I think i Don't have any kind of charm or talent. Even though I Won't stop yet, just like Khalil Gibran said-
