Today I want to share something important with you all. I hope that you heard :
Mind power is real power.
I didn't believe that. I thought physical power is real power. But no. When I watched "Unbroken" movie from then I realize that I was wrong. That movie gave me a great realization that if I don't have mind power then I have nothing. If you have that then you have everything. I know you can't believe that easily. So here I am going to describe that with some my favorite scenes of that movie.
"Unbroken" movie is masterpiece. It is real life story. This movie tells about the story of Louis Zamperini. He was Olympic runner. This movie was directed by Angelina Jolie. Jack O'Connell did a great job as the lead character Capt. Louis "Louie" Zamperini.
Louis was drug addicted in his school life. When his elder brother had knew that, from then he tried to motivate his younger brother Louis. One day, his elder brother saw that when Louis was running to escape cops. He told Louis to join running competitions and to do practice running. Louis tried. He changed his own mind. He threw away the addiction of drugs and practiced running more and more for years. And he became successful runner in his country. From here, we can learn that mind set is important to be successful. Then he thought he would go to Olympic and would won gold medal. So, he wanted to join next Olympic in Tokyo, Japan.
But then second world war started.In 1943, at the time of second world war, Louis Zamperini was a bombardier. In April 1943, he was in a bombing mission against the Japanese-held island, Nauru. Then their plane was become injured and fell on an island. Many of them were injured. They tried to repair the plane and flied for their country. But their plane crushed in middle of a sea. All of them died, only three persons were alive. Luois was one of them. They survived 47 day in sea on two little boat. The didn't have any foods. The caught fishes and ate them without cooking. One of them was died for mental health condition. He could not tolerate the bad situation. But Louis and other friend were alive. They always tried to handle the bad situations and to be mentally strong. From here, we can learn that we have to be mentally strong in any situation. Then we can survive.
On 48th day, Japanese boat found them and brought them in prison. They tortured Louis and his friend very badly. After some days, Japanese cops brought them a camp where were American soldiers who were caught by the Japanese warriors. Louis found few friends there. The Japanese ordered them to do many hard works with tortures. The Sargent of that camp was Mutsuhiro Watanabe. The prisoners gave his name "Bird". He was very strict and stone-hearted. He didn't show any mercy to the prisoners. Bird knew Louis was a great runner and nominated for Olympic runner. So he tortured Louis so much. One day, a proposal from Japan Govornment came to Louis . But he refused it. For this reason, Bird ordered all the prisoners to punch on Louis's face one by one. Louis became injured badly but he didn't accept the proposal. One day, Japanese brought all prisoner in another camp. There all prisoners had to store coils in big boats. It was very hard task. They worked all day but they didn't get enough foods. For this reason, their health condition was so bad. But they had to work to save their lives.
One day, Bird called Louis and started torturing him. It is the most popular and warming scene of this movie. Bird ordered Louis to take a big log of wood to the boat. But Louis was not capable for this task. But Louis tried. Bird saw his confidence, mental power and became angry. So he told other cops that if Louis fell that log, you all will shoot him. Louis looked at Bird's eyes and tried to take the big log at the top of his head.
Then Bird saw unfair in Louis eyes. And he hated it so much. The he went to Louis and beat him so badly with his stick until he became tired. Every prisoners and cops were silent and watching this. Louis fell down on ground but he didn't beg for his life what Bird wanted from Louis. Here, Bird lost but Louis won. Louis was not capable to take the log but he tried and did that with this mind power. If you have mind power you can do anything. If you don't have mind power then physical power will not help you. Here, Louis prove that.
All prisoner had a hope that one day their country will help them. And brought them to their county. After some days, their hope became real. The war stopped. Japan and America became friend. Then they released all the prisoners. Every prisoners got foods and became free. But Louis went to Bird. But in Bird's room, he didn't find Bird. Louis wanted to meet with Bird. But Bird left the camp.
Every prisoners went their country and started their life. From this movie, we can learn one thing that Mind power is very important. Sometimes, we lose hope without trying anything. It is our problem. If you set out mentality that we can do it easily and tried hard to do it, we can do anything. We have to be mentally strong and never stop hopping for goods in life.
I will recommend you to watch this masterpiece movie. It will give you great lesson.
