Kylian Mbappe is probably the most talked about player of the post Messi-Ronaldo era. And for obvious reasons too. Because keeping yourself at the very top level for about 5 years and that too when you're just 23 years old now, that's something. Now speaking about young players, just as the best players are awarded the Ballon d'Or each year, one of the best young talents of the year is awarded a prize called the 'Golden Boy'. This is the award Pedri won this year. But back in 2017, it was Kylian Mbappe.
Kylian Mbappe was born in Paris in 1998. His father, Wilfried, was his agent. He was also a football coach. Mbappe attended a private Catholic school in Bondy as a child. On December 2, 2015, Mbappe entered the field for Monaco. He made his debut in professional football. At the same time, he is the youngest player of the main team in the history of Monaco. Mbappe scored his first goal for Monaco on 20 February 2016. This goal made him the youngest goal scorer in the history of Monaco. At that time he was only 16 years and 347 days old. Next year in 2017 Mbappe moved to PSG. And another year later in July of 2018 Mbappe was handed the famous number 7 shirt. Regarding the shirt he said he was trying to progress on the pitch and he thought that for him it was the right time to change the number. It was something of an affirmation. The number 7 is a legendary one and many greats have worn it. He was hopeful that je will be able to do this number justice on the pitch.
Mbappe's career for the national team is quite bright. He won the European Under 19 Championship in 2016. He also got a chance in the national team of France in the 2018 World Cup. Mbappe scored his first World Cup goal for Peru against France on June 21. He was named Man of the Match for the match against Argentina on 30 June. His two goals and a drawn foul which resulted in a penalty for France helped France win the match. That day he became the youngest player to score twice in a world cup game after none other than Pele. He won the World Cup for France in 2018. He became the youngest player to score in the World Cup final after scoring in the World Cup final after Pele of course. That's two records under his belt. He also won the FIFA World Cup Best Young Player Award for that World Cup individually. Mbappe would like to forget about this 2020 Euros though. France was eliminated from the tournament due to his penalty miss. However, he later won the Nations League and made a significant contribution to it.
Mbappe is a serious talent. One that needs proper nurture. If given, can be the best player in the world in the post Messi-Ronaldo era. Most people think he is destined to achieve that feat. I would be on the same boat too. But Mbappe needs to work on his sportsmanship. Something that'll help him immensely. Mbappe's future hangs in the balance. As he has rejected multiple contract extension offers from PSG in a bid to sign for Real Madrid. Real also bid multiple times for Mbappe but PSG didn't let go. The next month will be decisive in his next big step in his career. Wherever he goes, I wish him all the very best.
Mbappe is, together with Halaand and Vinicius, the next players of this new era.
Ansu and foden too
his style of play is more similar to ronaldo’s.
