Hello everyone.
To meditate means different things to different people. For me, to meditate denotes to reflect on a problem or an issue of interest in a bid to proffer solutions where necessary. We also meditate over issues that are puzzling, thought-provoking and mind-boging. In an ever complex world as ours', we constantly meditate over topical issues that border on our lives and our global community in order to make it a happier, healthier and safer place. Such issues as global warming, terrorism, hunger, poverty, inter alia ( just a few of the plethora issues that bedevils man and his larger global community)- are constantly meditated upon by well-meaning individuals, Multi- national Corporations, Governments of various countries, parliamentarians in the floor of parliamentary sessions. The quest to proffer solutions to these issues makes for meditation. Although failure to meditate is exists, a difficulty in meditation is relative. While certain people could be encumbered with plaguing issues that truncates positive meditation, others may not be in the same boat; they are able to meditate hitch-free.
The importance of effective meditation cannot be overemphasized as it makes for creativity, innovation, discoveries and modification. Therefore, to meditate effectively with result-oriented in mind, one has to be shut out from all possible distractions that could tantamount to a disruption of one's meditating. A result-oriented meditation and funfair do not mix; for there to be a result-oriented meditation, there must necessarily be a Seren ambiance or atmosphere to engender meditation otherwise, the whole enterprise could prove a fiasco in the end. Imagine a case scenario where one tries to "meditate" amidst the hullabaloos that characterizes a party atmosphere. The indisputable truth remains that one will be bereft of concentration. The exact opposite is the case in a serene atmosphere.
In a serene atmosphere, one is, without a modicum of doubt, able to think and reason effectively without unsolicited distractions and setbacks. The dynamics of an effective meditation calls for purpose, an identification of a perceived problem of interest and the yearn to proffer a solution to the problem so identified. So, sitting down with eyes closed in meditative mood could engender meditation if the atmosphere is right or serene but in a rather turbulent atmosphere, meditation could be thwarted or frustrated without much ado. So, irrespective of one's mood or posture, meditation hinges on serenity and not necessarily on whether one sits eyes closed or stands. The Hallmark of intensive meditation is a serene environment. This allows the brain and the mind to be rationally coordinated. If this condition are not met, meditation is ineluctably truncated or marred altogether.
I enjoy my moments of meditation because it leaves my mind at total peace and tranquility. !PIZZA
