Hello Guys !!!
My paper flower still stands majestically in the front yard of my fence, if I count it has grown and been with us since I was in school, when I count it turns out they have lived for 12 years.
Actually there are many other plants that thrive in the same area but have died due to the time and life span of the plants themselves. But this one plant is still alive without us knowing it.
Now he has grown to about 2 meters tall and grows lushly and spreads horizontally which makes the front of our house's fence look cool and comfortable due to its influence.
The local community named this plant Bungoeng Keureutah which means the same as the name in general, only the mention of the dialect is different but has the same meaning. While the world community says as Bougenville Flowers or which has the scientific name Bougainvillea is one type of flower that is quite popular in our area. The Indonesian people themselves often call it paper flowers because the petals are thin and soft like paper or tissue, even the surface of this flower is patterned with a tissue or napkin after eating.
This plant has many types with different flower shapes and colors and has a distinctive beauty in each type. Plants with different colors and shapes have a fairly easy maintenance, and will be more beautiful when grown when often cut or shaped according to your taste.
Basically, this Bungonville flower will grow upright like similar plants, as stated above, it can also be made to grow sideways if processed according to your taste.
Our plant is often processed in such a way that it grows branches with red pink leaves and so the shape of the leaves of this paper flower is almost similar to an oval, but the tip becomes sharp and has a little point. Paper flowers themselves have a small size and are covered by a sheath of flowers or flower sheaths, but this bright colored sheath is often considered a flower and therein lies the beauty of this paper flower.
The greatness of this plant or it can be said as a crop every season because it can thrive in every season, especially since our region has a tropical climate so it will always thrive well where we plant it.
If you visit our region, then you will see this plant in every home page either in front or behind. Its presence can create a comfortable atmosphere because it has a unique color and shape, and sometimes some of our people make it a substitute for a house fence that is planted in lines, neat and orderly.
Thus the brief explanation in this writing, hopefully what has been written is useful for all of us. Thank you very much.
