It's no longer new that people are attracted to those with a positive and high self-esteem. The way we carry ourselves determines how a person will get attracted to us and also who- the kind of person we will attract.
There are a great number of persons struggling with themselves daily and have this low feeling of themselves because they are living with low self-esteem.
Having low self can come from various ranking factors and some of them are:
• Dysfunctional childhood.
• Divorce or heartbreak.
• Failure in business or career.
• Excessive intake of alcohol and drug addiction.
• Poor body image.
• Unsupportive family and friends.
• Having the wrong company.
The above and other non-listed factors are the cause of low self-esteem. I will say awful and depressing past experiences is just the total sum up why people experience low self-esteem.
In order to fight and get rid of low self-esteem, a person can utilize some of the tips below:
1) Get to know your negative beliefs and eradicate them:
The first step is to take every form of negativity about oneself. Accepting that you are okay and can do things. Don't say the words "I'm weak, I will fail, I can't do it" instead say the word "I'm strong, I will be a success, I can do it".
And even when you experience low situations and things don't go as planned don't be hard on yourself. Keep pushing on.
2) Surround Your Self With Positivity:
You can do this by giving yourself some positive affirmations as said in (1).
Try reading and listening to motivational words and messages. Stay away from sad tales and stories. Have fun, watch some comedy to have some laughs in order to feel positive about life.
3) Carry yourself well:
Who is your association?
Are you associated with people that devalue you? Then you got to change your circle. Go to where you are wanted and not tolerated. Make friends and associates with people that care for you and have a positive euphoria.
Also, stop devaluing yourself and speaking negative/downgrading you to others because the way you put yourself to them determines how they are going to treat you.
4) Take care of yourself:
It has been studied that people will self-esteem issues are used to not paying attention to their physical looks and wellbeing. And remember it's a famous saying the way you look determines how you will be addressed.
Take a break from work at times, don't stress yourself that much. Eat a balanced diet, have good sleep and exercise also because it's one of the ways of being healthy
5) Learn To Put You First:
Some persons may see you as selfish but if you want to feel good about yourself and want others to. You should make yourself your number one priority. Stop displeasing yourself to please others. Learn to say NO to request you are not comfortable with.
Finally, building self-esteem is not easy, you might relapse at some point and it's okay. Just keep on going and don't quit. Soon enough you are going to regain yourself and be that individual flying with an high esteem.
