The Mission wasn't the Mission.

Karim got an unusual call from his boss in the middle of the night. In Karims twelve years of marksmanship, this was the first time he heard the Army Chief of Staff sound so scared and frightened.

Karims phone buzzed.

“I just sent the coordinates to your phone. Do not miss.”

When Karim got to the location, he couldn't believe his eyes, his target was the one and only Garba.

Karim was the best marksman in his country yet he didn't feel he was ready for this kind of mission.

“One shot is all you've got, do not miss.” Karims boss voice kept ringing in his head.

Karim peered through the scope of his sniper, he left his gaze on the one man that has brought nothing but death to the world this past few months. He was at least 1500 metres away but Karim could see him clearly.

He knew if he missed this shot, it would take Garba only few hours to know it was the government who had tried to assassinate him then all hell would be let lose, he would do what Hitler himself couldn't.

Garba's many guards were with him as expected. They walked up and down, making it hard for Karim to get a clean shot on his target.

The marksman gently placed his finger on the trigger and waited. He noticed Garba bring out his phone and placed it on his ear. As the Karim was about putting pressure on his finger, he felt his phone buzzing in his pocket.

“Hello?”

“Why are you taking so long, I'm tired of sitting down here, just fucking shoot me.” the voice said and Karim watched as Garba dropped the call and smiled towards his direction.

The shock registered on Karims face was enough to revive back a dying heart.

Then it all made sense to Karim. Garba must have planned his own assassination for him to have a reason to unleash hell.

It didn't sound right to Karim but he knew Garba could do anything.
