Local desserts are the best. They have a unique texture, color, and flavor. And if I talk about Bangladesh, then I must say we too have a very unique cuisine. Many of our desserts and sweets can't be found anywhere else and not common in other cuisines as well. So you have to come to my place to enjoy them, hahaha...
Just a few days ago, we had the chance to try some desserts from one of the best & classic dessert shops in Bangladesh. Today I'm gonna share some of the photos with you!
The shop name is Khazana Mithai, you will find their chain shop around Dhaka city. Here is the exact location of the shop, you can take a look. You can also check their website here. They have a huge collection of authentic sweets and desserts as well as some dessert packages where they usually put all the different varieties. I think this is very convenient for me to taste all the good together.
Gulab Jamun, Kala Kand, Jaggery Kala Kand, Kher Malai Kari in the box.
Gulab Jamun/ Black Cherry sweet!
This one is my absolute favorite. Just look at the color and texture, mouthwatering; isn't it?
We enjoyed some of the sweets with our local snack called Patishapta Pitha.
Here's the detail of the shop from their packaging.
It was a fantastic experience enjoying our local sweets and desserts after so many days. The thing is, you will get many shops nearby but their taste is far different from the authentic ones. And you may feel like your money doesn't worth it. Rather, it's best to spend a little more money on authentic food. That's where you will get the best taste.
I hope you have enjoyed seeing a glimpse of our local desserts and sweets. Would love to see yours too!
This is my entry to DESSERT OR SWEETS PHOTOGRAPHY contest by @event-horizon. I would love to invite @sakibcrypto and @iamjohn to join this contest.
