I am scared.
I am sure we all are, or either you don't have the compassion for fellow humans.
What you are watching in the news are not just numbers, they are real people with families, children, parents, dreams and everything else. Dying everyday. Succumbing to a situation created by another human, not nature.
What will happen to Ukraine is out of control for most of us.
But what will happen in future is still something we can control upto an extent.
While some people are finding it hard to stay alive even on this planet.
Some richest folks of this planet want to live at some other planet.
A lot of you might find it amazing. A step forward to save the humanity from catastrophic events and holocausts. A step forward to ensure that human DNA stays alive, somehow. Or maybe anyhow.
Do We Really Need To Start A Life At Some Other Planet?
The question might sound really simple. And the answer really obvious.
I am sure we can write pages to justify why we need an extraterrestrial life.
The deteriorating nature at earth is one of the prime reason. That earth's environment would end up decaying to a degree, that would make it inhabitable. In tens of thousand of years, probably.
But do we ever really think about the possible adverse consequences of this intelligent and humanly move.
This Russian-Ukraine war has made me ponder over the power struggles.
Just imagine what would have happened if some guy with the animal instincts similar to that of Putin got pissed off from a country on earth while living at Mars.
Would it be easier for him to press those buttons and unleash the nuclear missiles or difficult?
And also, someone could nuke him from the earth, without considering the scope of destruction to his own community.
Emotions would take over the logic. Reaction would take over response. And Nuking decisions would stop being so hard. Probably.
So are we slowly reaching towards the doom's day with the advancement of technology?
The Inevitable Class Divide
It already exists on earth, there is no escape.
But still living is free, becuse the oxygen and water is free.
Imagine a place where even water and oxygen have a cost.
Only elites would be able to afford it. People most superior in terms of wealth, power and higher education.
Your teethless grandma would hardly be able to add any significance to such an extratresstial ecosystem, would only be considered as a parasite, feeding on the costly and scarce resources.
Same will be the fate of that beggar on the street you meet everyday, or that 'Joe' who has a knack for skating.
But the skating is useless, it can't produce water by combining molecules of hydrogen and oxygen. In fact it increases respiration and hence consumes more oxygen. But even the Oxygen will have a cost.
And innumerable people of earth will suddenly lose their significance. The lives of only most technologically advance humans will only matter.
The divide is and will be inevitable.
Thus the Billions of Dollars of Space X project and an attempt to start a life at other planet. Sounds interesting but horrifying at the same time to me.
The whole world is witnessig what can happen when the evil overtakes the mind of one sigle human.
When ingrained selfishness overpowers the intenions of benifiting the masses, harmony and peace.
Only god knows what will happen when a system will oblige the administrators to classify most human lives as worthless. When authorities can't be held accountable because they are living far away from any scope of your influence.
Humanity might survive. Humanity might get a life but it might lose its meaning.
The situation is serius and escalating unfortunatly my friend :(
